Matt Cardona has been a sensation on the independent scene since his release from WWE in 2020 and declared that he would be happy to make more headlines against two huge online names.
Cardona, formerly known in WWE as Zack Ryder, anointed himself as Internet Champion after launching the hugely successful Z True Long Island Story YouTube series in 2011. The series saw Ryder’s popularity with fans go through the roof, many of whom have followed his post-WWE career closely.
The former WWE United States Champion has battled a host of star names in recent years and recently revealed two other names he would be open to facing.
In a recent interview with MuscleManMalcolm, Cardona was asked about stepping into the squared circle with two other internet sensations, MrBeast and KSI.
Cardona admitted that the two potential bouts would be huge, but joked that each would have a very different outcome:
“MrBeast, hey, he is on top of his YouTube game. I think he’s the guy on YouTube. I think a MrBeast versus Matt Cardona match for the Internet Championship, we could put it on his channel, my channel, dual streaming. I like that.
For him, I might do the Bash at the Bash, just lay down. Lay down for MrBeast. Let him bring the title out for his audience, and then I could beat him [laughs] Long-term booking, we call that.
KSI, he’s been in WWE before. He tries to get in there. I saw him go through a table. He dressed up as the PRIME bottle. I would dress up as a can of PBR, Pabst Blue Ribbon, and I’d beat him, one, two, three.”
Will Matt Cardona Return To WWE?
In recent months Cardona has consistently teased a return to WWE television, recently going as far as stating that he needed to return to WWE.
‘The Deathmatch King’ had also previously posted a video of driving past WWE Headquarters and whilst no deal is currently known to be imminent, it would seem likely that the former WWE Intercontinental Champion will someday rejoin his wife, Chelsea Green, in WWE.
