Matt Cardona Offers Elon Musk Internet Championship Match After Twitter Bid

After news that Elon Musk is trying to buy Twitter, Matt Cardona offered him an Internet Championship match.

Elon Musk, the billionaire behind Space X and Tesla, revealed that he’s put in a bid to buy the social media platform Twitter and privatize it. Musk currently owns just over 9% of shares in the company, but according to an SEC filing, he is now offering to buy 100% of the shares at $54.20 per share in cash, which would place the company’s value at about $41.4 billion.

According to a letter that was revealed as part of the SEC filling, Elon Musk believes that Twitter needs to change and be privatized in order to perform as a platform of free speech as intended.

“I invested in Twitter as I believe in its potential to be the platform for free speech around the globe, and I believe free speech is a societal imperative for a functioning democracy.

“However, since making my investment I now realize the company will neither thrive nor serve this societal imperative in its current form. Twitter needs to be transformed as a private company.

“As a result, I am offering to buy 100% of Twitter for $54.20 per share in cash, a 54% premium over the day before I began investing in Twitter and a 38% premium over the day before my investment was publicly announced. My offer is my best and final offer and if it is not accepted, I would need to reconsider my position as a shareholder.

“Twitter has extraordinary potential. I will unlock it.”

After hearing the news of Elon Musk’s Twitter bid, IMPACT and GCW star Matt Cardona took to the platform to offer the Space X founder a shot at his Internet Championship.

Cardona then quote tweeted a fan-made match graphic that featured him pitted against the billionaire with the caption “Coming soon?”

The challenge comes days after a tweet in which Cardona begged promoters to stop booking him in title matches as he currently holds so many championships that his suitcase is getting heavy, so he may be looking to unload some of his gold.

“Dear wrestling promoters, Please stop booking me against your champions. My suitcase is too heavy and is ripping. Love, Matt Cardona”

This isn’t the first wrestling challenge that Elon Musk has received, however. Back in February of 2021, Triple H challenged the Space X founder to a WrestleMania match on Mars.
