WWE have announced three huge matches for the 18th annual Tribute To The Troops show which will air Sunday December 6th on Fox.
It had previously been revealed that the show would be taped on December 2nd, but three matches have now also been announced. Tribute To The Troops which will be shot at the ThunderDome will see WWE Champion Drew McIntyre and WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Sasha Banks both in action.
The event will also have a live audience with several servicemen and women from Marine Corps Air Station New River, US Army Post Fort Hood, U.S. Navy Aircraft Carrier USS John C. Stennis (CVN 74), Naval Air Station Fallon and Naval Air Weapons Station China Lake in attendance. Thus making it the first WWE main roster show to have a live crowd since the COVID-19 pandemic swept across the globe.
The extravaganza is also likely to be one of the final shows to come from the ThunderDome’s current home at The Amway Center with WWE shortly moving to Tropicana Field in St Petersburg Florida. The first show from the larger venue will be the December 11th episode of Friday Night SmackDown.
Meanwhile WWE are also reportedly pushing for a decision on whether fans will be allowed to be in attendance for the 2021 Royal Rumble on January 31st. It has been reported by WrestleVotes that WWE have given a deadline of January 7th for a decision to be made.
