Massive Update On CM Punk Appearing On AEW Dynamite

CM Punk

AEW Collision might be “CM Punk’s show” but that doesn’t mean the star won’t also be appearing on Dynamite.

Although Tony Khan has cooled talk of a roster split, it was widely believed that Punk would largely remain on Collision due to continuing issues with Kenny Omega, the Young Bucks, and Hangman Adam Page. However, it seems this might not be the case.

A new report via Fightful Select has noted that Punk could appear on the June 21st episode of Dynamite live from the Wintrust Arena in Chicago. Those close to Punk have claimed that the star is set for the show, although he hasn’t been formally announced.

With regard to The Elite, as expected they were not in Chicago for Collision, and they may not be appearing on Dynamite in person either. The report adds the faction has pre-recorded segments for Dynamite and likely won’t be live on the show.

CM Punk Makes Winning Return To AEW

In the main event of Collision, CM Punk teamed with FTR to see off Samoa Joe, Jay White, and Juice Robinson. However, it was an earlier promo that got fans talking. The two-time AEW World Champion fired a couple of shots at the Young Bucks and The Elite, referring to the former as the “Counterfeit Bucks.”

Following the show, Punk got on the microphone one more time, on this occasion he spoke up in support of the LBGT community. The star said he’ll always support the community because he knows what it was like to grow up feeling like he didn’t fit in, commenting that he wants everyone to be free to be themselves.
