Massive Becky Lynch Match Announced For WWE Money In The Bank

Becky Lynch on the mic on WWE Raw

Becky Lynch is all set to increase her championship cabinet.

At WrestleMania 41, Becky Lynch made her long-awaited return and formed a partnership with Lyra Valkyria, helping her win the Women’s Tag-Team Championship. However, on the Raw after WrestleMania episode, Lynch and Valkyria lost their titles to Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez, essentially leading to The Man turning heel on Valkyria.

Since then, the two have been involved in a cut-throat rivalry against one another. The duo last faced each other at Backlash 2025, where Valkyria retained her women’s Intercontinental Championship in a classical display of professional wrestling.

Now, a few weeks later, ahead of the 26th May episode of Raw, Lyra Valkyria appeared through a digital promo on WWE’s X(Twitter) handle and announced her upcoming title bout. On June 7th, 2025, at the Money in the Bank PLE, Becky Lynch will again face Lyra Valkyria for her Women’s Intercontinental title.

During her promo, the 28-year-old also took shots at Lynch’s past unsuccessful records against her. Apart from their 2025 Backlash clash, the duo had also faced each other on the 24th October, 2023 episode of NXT, where Valkyria defeated Lynch to win the NXT Women’s Championship.

Becky Lynch Reveals Why Her Plans To Return Before WrestleMania 41 Were Scrapped

Earlier this month, during an interview with Lauren Coates of Variety,Becky Lynch revealed how WWE had planned to bring back Lynch before WrestleMania 41, which then had to be scrapped due to medical reasons.

“I took what I thought was going to be three months off during the summer, when my contract came up. I was like, ‘Okay, seems like a good time to take a little break, get some stuff done.’ Then other things came up – I was filming ‘Star Trek,’ and then ‘Happy Gilmore.’ There was talk [of a return] around Rumble time, but then at the last minute, I got a skin condition. The next big event was WrestleMania, so it seemed to make sense, especially if I could take Bayley out of the mix and ruin her dreams. It felt doubly brilliant.”
