Massive AJ Styles speculation could be true.

TNA is currently gearing up for its biggest event of the year, Slammiversary. The pay-per-view will be held on July 20 at the UBS Arena in Elmont, New York. Several names are scheduled for the show like Trick Williams, Joe Hendry, The IInspiration, Jacy Jayne, and more. Interestingly, rumors have also indicated that AJ Styles might also be present.

Before AJ debuted in WWE during the 2016 Royal Rumble, he made a major name for himself in various wrestling promotions, among them being the former IMPACT Wrestling. Since both companies currently have a partnership, Styles’ being at Slammiversary is possible. Speculation doubled when the company’s President, Carlos Silva, referenced the superstar, stating the upcoming event will be “Phenomenal.”

In a latest report from the Takedown on SI, it was said that Styles’ appearance at Slammiversary has been in the works for a while and was a “top priority for the upper brass” in TNA. It’s expected that AJ will be at the UBS Arena in some capacity, but his role remains unclear.

TNA World Champion Wants To Defend The Gold Against AJ Styles

In a shocking turn of events, WWE star Trick Williams is TNA’s current World Champion after defeating Joe Hendry at NXT Battleground.

Ahead of their triple threat with Mike Santana at Slammiversary, the three wrestlers met at a contract signing during the Great American Bash. During this, Trick called himself the greatest TNA Champion in history, but fans began chanting Styles instead.

In a later interview with Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Williams stated that he wanted to face AJ Styles after fans in Atlanta disrespected him by chanting the RAW star. The champion that one way to solve this was to defend the title against The Phenomenal One.
