AEW star and WWE Hall of Famer Mark Henry has come to the defence of Sasha Banks after The Boss received some abuse online.
Given the recent changes at the top of WWE, on August 1st it was reported that an “agreement had been reached” for Sasha Banks and her tag team partner Naomi to return to WWE.
The two women haven’t been seen on WWE television since they walked out of the May 16th edition of Monday Night Raw following a row over creative. WWE later confirmed that the Women’s Tag Team Champions had handed their title belts to former Head of Talent Relations John Laurinaitis on the way out.
While that saga might have an end in sight, Sasha Banks was making headlines again following her appearance at fan convention C2E2 recently. Picture Banks took with fans went viral after fans were told to keep their distance from the star resulting in some odd-looking shots that cost over $100 a pop.
While fans vented about the situation online, one suggested that it was the fans who made Sasha Banks – and presumably – other wrestling stars who they are, something that Mark Henry took issue with on his social media:
“Not true sir. The athlete would be the athlete, if you don’t like her an (and) think she’s arrogant don’t go see her its that simple you cannot deny talent though.”

With the situation surrounding Sasha Banks generated much discussion, former wrestling manager Jim Cornette also had his say on the situation.
