AEW’s Mark Henry has lavished praise on a current SmackDown star and says no matter if they’re heel or face they can become the best at what they do.
Mark Henry left the confines of WWE in early 2021 before announcing himself as the newest member of AEW at their Double Or Nothing pay-per-view in May.
Speaking on a recent Busted Open podcast, The World’s Strongest Man had his say on current WWE Superstar Sami Zayn, commenting that the former Intercontinental Champion’s “talent is undeniable:”
“As it relates to potential, Sami Zayn has got all the potential in the world to be the best heel or the best face. It’s just the matter of where you book him, where you push him. You talked about respecting the guy and loving the guy as a person, there ain’t many that I hold in a higher regard because his talent is undeniable. No, he don’t look like Adonis, (he) don’t have to. The dude is an unbelievable worker.”
Zayn recently shared the spotlight with Brock Lesnar on SmackDown – albeit he didn’t have much choice. Sami Zayn had previously won the Black Friday Battle Royal giving him a shot at Roman Reigns’ WWE Universal Championship.
The Beast Incarnate however has his sights set on Lesnar after failing to unseat The Tribal Chief as champion as Crown Jewel. Lesnar convinced Sami Zayn that SmackDown was the place for him to receive his title shot but in the end, The Conqueror attacked Zayn costing him his slim hopes of victory against Roman Reigns.
This opens the door for Brock Lesnar to face Reigns once again in the main event of the upcoming Day One pay-per-view on January 1st.
