The ‘World’s Strongest Man’ Mark Henry made a shocking AEW debut at Double or Nothing.

In a surprise announcement by Tony Schiavone ahead of the main event, it was revealed that Mark Henry has joined AEW. Schiavone explained in a short segment that Henry will be working as a coach, and analyst on AEW Rampage which debuts in August.

Henry is set to fill a similar role to that of Paul Wight on AEW Dark: Elevation.

Mark Henry recently shared an amazing weight loss photo ahead of an expected return to the ring.

The man formerly known as Sexual Chocolate made his debut with WWE in 1996 after competing at the Atlanta Olympics as a weightlifter. Henry would remain with WWE for the next 25 years, famously winning the World Heavyweight Championship before being inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2018.

Henry’s final WWE appearance came at RAW Legends Night in January.

The founder of the Hall Of Pain hasn’t wrestled since appearing in the 2018 Royal Rumble. However, the super-heavyweight has refused to rule out a return to action.

In a recent interview, Henry named WALTER as a dream opponent for a potential comeback. Speaking to BT Sport’s The Run-In, the Hall of Famer said that he’d like one more match before finally calling time on his career.

“I want to have one more match before I completely say that I’m never going to wrestle again. And WALTER is one of those guys that, you know, he may need to be put in the Hall of Pain.”

It has also been confirmed that Henry will appear on the June 7th edition of Dynamite to discuss his move to AEW.
