Mark Henry Praying That Issues Between MJF & AEW Are Resolved

MJF

Mark Henry praises MJF and hopes that any heat between the young star and AEW can be reconciled in the future.

Maxwell Jacob Freidman has long been hailed as one of the fastest-rising young stars in professional wrestling. The 26-year-old has already had winning efforts against the likes of CM Punk and Chris Jericho.

On the June 1st episode of AEW Dynamite, MJF cut a fiery promo on Tony Khan and the whole of the AEW locker room. This promo ended with MJF directly addressing Khan shouting “I want you to fire me, you f*cking mark! Fire me, fire me.” before his microphone was cut off.

This promo followed reports of Friedman meeting with Khan to discuss his future with AEW. The young star has not been seen on AEW television, nor has he appeared in any other promotions, following this incident – this has raised questions and prompted speculation about his current status with Khan’s promotion.

Former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Mark Henry joined All Elite Wrestling on 30th May 2021 during Double or Nothing. In an interview with Abe Kanan, Henry offered his thoughts on the situation.

“He’s an unbelievable talent. I pray that whatever problems can be fixed and that you can move forward and go and have a good business relationship, as well as a personal relationship.

Believe me, I’ve worked with people I didn’t like. I’ve worked with people that, if they were on fire, I would not throw pee on them to put them out, but when it came to doing business and it came to respecting the work, I came to work every day with that in my mind.

That is what I hope in every situation, but especially this one. They iron out all the rough places and you have a well-manicured start, flat surface, and everybody doesn’t look back, just look forward.”

Tony Khan has not commented on the situation and MJF is not currently on the AEW roster page. However, it has been reported that the star could be back in action soon, maybe as soon as All Out.
