Marina Shafir reveals that there was a leak in AEW.
A part of All Elite Wrestling since 2021, Shafir aligned herself with Jon Moxley and The Death Riders in 2024. Soon, she established herself as an untouchable force in the group.
Recently, following the conclusion of a successful All In PPV, Shafir appeared on Rulebreakers with Saraya, and opened up on multiple backstage AEW incidents. While All In 2025 was extremely well-liked by the fans and produced several surprising moments and finishes, such has not always been the case with the promotion. Speaking with Saraya, Shafir revealed how there had been a leak in the promotion a few years ago.
“I don’t know if you remember, I think this was like either right after you came in or right before, but there was a leak in the building — like, to the dirt sheets or whatever — and we would have meetings, you know? They would address that.”
“They(AEW leadership) said, ‘If anybody wants help, ask one of us. We’d be more than happy to help.’ And I’m talking about The Young Bucks, Jericho, Mox, Bryan, Kenny — I think maybe one or two more. Once the meeting was over, everybody got up and everybody left. And they just all stood up there with their dicks in their hands. They were just like, ‘Oh, okay… whatever.’”
“I just went right up to Mox and I go, ‘I need help. I know I have something that’s different, but I know the nature of this beast will dilute it. And it’ll just be here one day, gone the other. If we can do something with it — cool. I’m willing and ready to learn. I know I need the reps. I know it’s not tailored. I just need help.’”

Jon Moxley took Shafir seriously and watched her matches before deciding to work with her. As soon as Shafir paired up with Moxley, her entire career turned around. From getting limited TV time to becoming a regular, Shafir underwent a complete transition.
Marina Shafir Once Got Into A Real Fight With Her Male Co-Worker
In the same interview with Rulebreakers With Saraya, Marina Shafir opened up on a violent incident she once faced with a male co-star at the gym.
I’m just, like, leaning against the wall, and all of a sudden I get f—ing shoved from behind. And I it wasn’t, it wasn’t like, a soft shove, man, like, I felt like I just got, like, tackled… my water bottle hits the wall, like, cuts me in the gums, like my gum is bleeding. Water is just everywhere.”
