Mariah May Losing Her Name After WWE Debut

Mariah May Blake Monroe arrives in WWE NXT

Mariah May may be known under a different name following her WWE debut.

After weeks of speculation, Mariah May finally arrived in WWE on the recent NXT episode, where she confronted Jacy Jayne for the brand’s Women’s Championship. During the exchange, it was noted that she didn’t exactly say her name, and there may be a reason why.

According to TC WrestleVotes, Mariah May will be getting a new name under the Stamford-based promotion once it’s decided what it will be.

Mariah’s debut was similar to fellow former AEW star Ricky Starks, who arrived suddenly on NXT without initially introducing himself on his first appearance. A week after the latter’s debut, that’s when it’s revealed that his name was changed to Ricky Saints.

Mariah May Sends Her First Message As A WWE NXT Superstar

After the former AEW star appeared on the Tuesday show to confront Jacy Jayne, she later had another message for the rest of the locker room and fans watching.

In a video posted on WWE NXT’s X/Twitter, the former AEW Women’s Champion said that it’s about time she arrived in the Stamford-based promotion, and it’s no surprise that she is finally in the Shawn Michaels-led brand.

“It’s about d*mn time. I’ve wrestled all over the world, and it’s only right that the glamour arrives in NXT.”

WWE NXT’s women’s roster is filled with talented women. Aside from the Women’s Champion Jacy Jayne, there are also notable women like Jordynne Grace, Lola Vice, Thea Hail, Tatum Paxley, and Izzi Dame that will certainly be interesting opponents for Mariah May.
