Mariah May Is Taking Big Steps After Making WWE Decision

Mariah May joined WWE recently and has been replaced in AEW with another top star

Mariah May is making significant moves after a possible WWE decision.

It has been rumored for weeks that Mariah May may be WWE-bound after spending two years in AEW. Rumors about her jumping ship intensified when she was removed from All Elite’s roster recently. From the looks of it, the 26-year-old is ensuring everything is set for her possible debut at the Stamford-based promotion.

According to Sean Ross Sapp in the Fightful Select Backstage Reportpodcast, May was still under contract with AEW when she was removed from the roster page, but things may have changed now that June has arrived. SRS added that he reached out to Mariah but received no comment, but she is expected to join WWE.

However, there’s still some uncertainty if she informed WWE or AEW about her decision. Additionally, it’s reported that although no contract has been signed, Mariah is already taking steps to get representation or possibly already has one. Finally, it’s reported that if she isn’t a free agent now, she will be one soon.

“She had decided she wanted to go to WWE. I had not heard that she had like informed WWE or informed AEW or anything like that. Haven’t heard that a contract is officially signed yet, but she is taking steps, getting representation, or she already had representation, but in some other methods as well. But she is expected to join WWE. That is the expected move and is off the AEW roster page. And if she isn’t officially a free agent as of right now, imminently, I would imagine.”

Mariah May’s Latest AEW Match Was a Memorable Clash With Toni Storm

Mariah May was last seen in action in March at AEW Revolution 2025 in Los Angeles, California. There, she faced Toni Storm, who defeated her for the company’s Women’s World Championship.

Although May lost the title bout, the match was highly praised due to their impressive in-ring skills and storytelling.
