After Roman Reigns told a hilarious story about pranking his daughter with a Mariah Carey Christmas song, the pop icon said she would “love to see” him and The Usos singing along to her music on WWE SmackDown.

Appearing on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Roman Reigns waded into the debate about whether Christmas songs should be played before Thanksgiving, saying it was his daughter who explained it to him. The WWE Universal Champion is very much on the ‘pro’ side.

“She was explaining to me about how right now the whole Christmas music before Thanksgiving is a big thing, they’re gonna cancel this whole situation and Mariah Carey, and that’s just craziness to me.”

He then decided to prove his point by blasting Mariah Carey’s classic ‘All I Want For Christmas Is You’ from the car when he was dropping his daughter off at school.

“So we’re pulling up, I’m dropping her off at school. There’s a little circle you have to drop them off at, and as soon as we pull up to this circle, I just crank up ‘All I Want For Christmas is you’. I turn it down to tell her I love her and goodbye, then as soon as she opens the door I just crank it up again!

“She melts, then literally there’s five of her friends turning the corner and going to class that witness this whole situation. she closes the door as fast as she can.

“Then there’s a second where she’s, ‘Oh no’. She’s got a project in the back seat and has to reopen the door [and I crank it up again].”

After hearing the interview, sportswriter Doug Rush suggested the ‘Tribal Chief’ and his cousins the Usos should do some SmackDown Christmas karaoke with the song. Mariah Carey responded to say she “Would love to see it!”, as would wrestling fans everywhere.

Roman Reigns and The Usos will be hoping to celebrate big wins on the SmackDown after Survivor Series, as Reigns looks to vanquish WWE Champion Big E and The Usos take on Raw Tag Team Champions RK-Bro, Randy Orton and Riddle. The outcomes of these matches could well determine if the Bloodline give us some festive cheer on the blue brand.
