Mandy Rose On Surpassing Charlotte Flair’s NXT Women’s Title Reign

Mandy Rose

NXT Women’s Champion Mandy Rose has a lot to celebrate as she just surpassed Charlotte Flair’s initial title reign.

Mandy Rose successfully defended her NXT Women’s Championship against Roxanne Perez on this week’s NXT 2.0. With this win, she has now held the championship for 260+ days, surpassing Charlotte Flair’s original reign as champion.

Speaking on the latest edition of WWE’s The Bump, Rose expressed how excited she was to achieve such a significant accomplishment. She also compared her experiences of working on the main roster to her work now on NXT:

“I thought about it yesterday when I was sitting, getting ready for my match and I was like, ‘Wow, who would’ve thought Mandy Rose passed Charlotte Flair’s NXT reign?’ I feel like, I go back and think about the times, you know, my times on Raw and SmackDown but I have to say, I’m having the most fun I’ve ever had in NXT.

You know, obviously not only because I’m the champ but for many other reasons. You know, helping the other women out here, kind of giving back a little bit too. Obviously, I’m the veteran here.”

Although Mandy Rose successfully defended the title against Roxanne Perez, she still has a lot of challengers on the roster. It was reported that Nikkita Lyons was considered to dethrone the champion at one point. Lyons made her return to NXT after taking time off due to injury, returning by defeating Rose via disqualification last month.
