Mandy Rose continues to be sceptical about making a return to wrestling.
Closing in on one year away from the ring, Mandy Rose was released by WWE on December 14th 2022. The surprise exit was reportedly linked to content that was posted to her Fantime website, which was said to have been “outside the parameters” of her contract.
No longer contracted to the biggest wrestling promotion in the world, Rose quickly became one of the top earners on the platform, with her agent telling TMZ that the former NXT star earned half a million dollars in one week alone. Rose would further diversify in 2023 by launching her own line of skincare products, Amarose Beauty.
Despite earning a lot of money from non-wrestling projects and not having to take bumps, wrestling fans frequently ask if the former NXT Women’s Champion plans to make a return to action.
While taking part in a Q and A on Instagram, Rose was once again asked about a return to wrestling. Rose responded that a return to wrestling is not definite:
I don’t know when I’ll be returning to the ring. Not really sure if I’ll be returning to the ring. Not really sure if I’m not going to be returning to the ring. It’s really up in the air. I know it’s not the best answer, but it’s all I can say right now. I am enjoying my life, my freedom, my time. When you’re wrestling and on the road, it takes a toll on you, and I have to be committed to that if I want to get back into it, so we’ll see. I was on the road for like eight years and it was a blessing,”
Looking back on her time as a member of the WWE roster, Mandy Rose commented that the company is a great platform but it is not the be-all and end-all.
Will Mandy Rose Go To AEW?
No longer tied to WWE, Rose is a free agent and could appear for any promotion when she chooses. Another fan asked if a future appearance in AEW or even Impact would be possible. Rose responded that if the right offer came around she would consider it:
“I don’t know. If the right phone calls comes around, maybe.”
Rose last competed on the December 13th 2022 episode of NXT, dropping the title to Roxanne Perez one day before getting released.
H/t to Fightful.
