Popular Japanese star Maki Itoh has teased a return to AEW as the possible Joker that will enter the women’s Owen Hart Foundation tournament.
On the 18th of May edition of AEW Dynamite, the Jokers in both the men’s and women’s Owen Hart Foundation tournament will be revealed with Samoa Joe and Dr. Britt Baker DMD finding out their opponents on the night.
However, many fans have begun speculating that Baker’s opponent will be a woman that she is all too familiar with after Maki Itoh took to social media to tell her fans that her next match will take place in the USA.
Itoh and Baker previously teamed together on The Buy In for 2021’s Revolution pay-per-view where they defeated Riho and Thunder Rosa.

Maki Itoh began appearing for AEW in their AEW Women’s World Championship Eliminator Tournament that took place towards the beginning of 2021. With the tournament split between the US and Japan, Itoh lost in the first round against compatriot and eventual tournament winner Ryo Mizunami.
Itoh also competed on Dynamite where she teamed with Nyla Rose and Britt Baker but again fell to defeat at the hands of Mizunami, Thunder Rosa, and Hikaru Shida.
Following her brief stay in AEW, Maki Itoh returned to Tokyo Joshi Pro-Wrestling where she most recently defeated Kaya Toribami.
