Bayley has been struggling a lot on WWE RAW for the past few weeks, and she just might have reached the breaking point amidst all the chaos.
The September 8 episode of Monday Night RAW featured a vignette featuring Bayley, speaking about her recent struggles in WWE. She talked about her strained relationship with Lyra Valkyria and how she regrets hurting her. She said,
I don’t even know what the next step is. I don’t know what good this has done, or if it has done anything at all. All I know is that the last person I wanted to hurt was Lyra. And I’ve hurt a lot of people in the past, but they mostly deserved it. But, they found it in their heart to forgive me because I am a good person, so maybe… I just don’t know how Lyra can find it in herself to forgive me when I can’t even forgive myself.”
voice: “Oh, my god, are you finished yet? Save it for your diary. No, I’m really proud of you for admitting your mistakes. And I think you should just talk to her. So, why don’t you take a hit? Okay, move on, we have to do what’s best for us, and what’s best for us is to make it right with birds. You know what to do, and you know what’s in your heart?”

This call for help from Bayley follows a series of such incidents. The Role Model started hearing voices in the August 11 episode of WWE RAW, where she talked about how she has not achieved anything major this year. How, for the first time in her 13-year career, she isn’t proud of herself and has no wins to show the fans. Following this segment, Valkyria felt sorry for Bayley in a backstage interview, but ultimately left her on her own.
Following this, she featured in yet another clip where she was interrupted by a voice that reminded Bayley of her achievements and asked her to listen to what the voice had to say, ending with “How about a hug?” This teased the return of her very popular hugger gimmick, which was loved by the WWE fans.
She posted the clip, with the caption ‘make it stop,’ which might be a desperate call for help from the former champion. During the September 1 episode of RAW, GM Adam Pearce talked about Bayley’s situation with Valkyria, assuring her that she is okay and will be back soon.
The Reason for Bayley’s Burnout in WWE
Bayley has been one of the most dominant performers in WWE. She is a decorated star in the company, being an NXT Women’s Champion, RAW Women’s Champion, two-time SmackDown Women’s Champion, and WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion. Her second reign as the SmackDown champion lasted 380 days, tying her with Rhea Ripley for the longest in the championship’s history.
She is the first Women’s Triple Crown Champion and the first Grand Slam Champion as well, while being the 2019 Ms. Money in the Bank and 2024 Royal Rumble winner, lasting just over an hour in the match. Despite such an impressive resume, Bayley has been struggling in the ring recently. She just has 5 wins in the entire year, losing major opportunities such as the Royal Rumble, Elimination Chamber match, and multiple title opportunities for the Intercontinental Championship.
She aims to make a strong and dominant return to the company and hopes to return to her championship form.
