WWE is officially taking WrestleMania to Saudi Arabia, but that wasn’t the only major happenings today between company officials and representatives from the Kingdom. Triple H and The Undertaker are providing insight into plans for the big event, along with a Royal Rumble update.
WWE’s Chief Content Officer and The Phenom appeared at the Fontainebleau Hotel in Las Vegas earlier today to announce WrestleMania 43 for Riyadh, Saudi Arabia in 2027. Taker and Triple H were joined by Joe Tessitore, WWE President Nick Khan, WWE Senior Vice President of Talent Development & Creative Shawn Michaels, Women’s Tag Team Champion Charlotte Flair, Bianca Belair, Liv Morgan, Stephanie Vaquer, Logan Paul, and World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins, among others, including Turki Al-Sheikh, a Saudi Royal Court adviser and Chairman of the KSA General Entertainment Authority.
WWE and Saudi officials previously announced the 39th Royal Rumble PLE for January 2026 in the Saudi capital of Riyadh. At today’s press conference, it was confirmed that the first-ever Royal Rumble from the Kingdom will take place on Saturday, January 31, 2026.
In regards to WrestleMania 43 in 2027, The Dead Man predicts Pomp & Circumstance like the WWE Universe has never seen. Tessitore asked Taker what an American or international fan would be in store for if they make the trip to the Kingdom for ‘Mania 43.
“Without a doubt, they’re in store for the incredible passion… I think WWE fans in general are known for their passion for WWE content, and I think people are gonna be blown away at that same passion that the people from Saudi Arabia have. His Excellency [Turki Al-Shiekh] has just… I mean, he has has been such an instrumental force in the growth of WWE in Saudi Arabia. I think people are gonna be so pleasantly… surprised at the kindness and the… just the pouring out of the love, and appreciation for what we do, and I can only imagine the Pomp & Circumstance that you always expect from WWE and WrestleMania are gonna be off the chart when we go to Saudi Arabia. Guaranteed,” The Undertaker said.
Triple H Also Predicts Big Things At WWE WrestleMania 43
Triple H has talked highly of WWE’s alliance with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as of late. At today’s press conference for WrestleMania 43, Joe Tessitore asked the Chief Content Officer how he would characterize the big announcement, and how significant this is.
“It’s hard to to put it into words, really how significant it is, and what a partnership that has been over the last 8 years or so. As Bianca and Taker mentioned, the evolution of our partnership there, of what we have experienced when we have been there… to see the growth and expansion, it’s really been a special thing to see, but I think in this moment in time, WWE going to Saudi Arabia is sort of a first foray, as much as everybody knows how global we are, our first foray into doing what is essentially our Super Bowl in an international market. And I would like to add to that… this one doesn’t happen without His Excellency [Turki Al-Shiekh], doesn’t happen without Nick Khan, but it also doesn’t happen without the fans of Saudi Arabia,” Triple H said.
He continued:
“Without the fans in Riyadh and Jeddah that have shown up time after time, and gotten louder and louder every single time we have been there, that have done their homework, put in the chance, they know everything, and it is one of our, sort of hot-bed fanbases, if you will… that has become a big thing globally for us lately, whether it’s fans in Paris or England, or a different location: who is the loudest? I’ve got to put Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on the map as one of the greatest fanbases on the planet. This is an incredible opportunity for us to showcase what we do in a location that has shown significantly, time over time, that Saudi Arabia, Riyadh Season, puts on the biggest events and the biggest spectacle… we like to believe in WWE we put on the biggest events and the biggest spectacle, so when we come together in 2027, I think you can expect something you have never seen before, a level of competition, a level of athleticism, a level of stardom that is in that venue, but a level of spectacle like no one has ever seen before,” Triple H said.
It was reported just this week that The Rock is now heavily rumored for WrestleMania from KSA. An additional backstage update revealed plans to make this the most star-studded show in WWE history.
