Further surprise appearances at the WWE Royal Rumble have been reported.
In more positive news for fans, the company has been much more sparing with the number of confirmed entrants in each of the Royal Rumbles. With less than half the field announced, many are hoping that some unexpected entrants appear at Tropicana Field. In a new update, a highly-anticipated debut will finally take place on January 27th.
As reported by PWInsider, Jade Cargill has been regularly training at the Performance Center and is expected to be at the Premium Live Event. Despite Jade Cargill joining WWE back in September 2023, the former AEW star has yet to have a match on the main roster or NXT, instead making onscreen appearances on all 3 brands. However, towards the end of the year, Cargill has been notably absent from programming.
The second surprise entrant is a Superstar who has been sidelined for a number of months. Back in August 2023, Sonya Deville confirmed reports that she was injured during a match on SmackDown, suffering an ACL tear. PWInsider also reports that Deville has been training at the Performance Center and that a Rumble return would be the most logical way to reintroduce the former Women’s Tag Team Champion into storylines.
At the start of January, another round of surprise entrants for the WWE Royal Rumble was reported.
WWE Hall Of Famer Campaigns For Rumble Entry
Along with surprise debuts and returns, hardcore fans will be expecting some nostalgia entries to make their way into each match. After lasting less than a minute in the match last year, Booker T has stated that he wants to be a part of the match again and is awaiting the call.
