Major WWE 2K25 Announcement Postponed

WWE 2K25 Developer Addresses Possibility Of Future TNA Inclusion In Video Games

Fans of the WWE 2K25 videogame will have to wait a little longer for a major reveal.

While the standard and deluxe versions of the latest instalment of the franchise have been available since March, DLC packs will be released periodically throughout the year.

The first DLC released was the New Wave pack, which became available to purchase on May 14th. As announced by 2K Games ahead of time, the WWE stars included in the pack are Giulia, Stephanie Vaquer, Chris Sabin, Alex Shelley and a special celebrity guest. However, in an update from the game’s official social media account, the celebrity guest will be confirmed at a later date by WWE and a code for in-game currency was offered up in its place:

“The celebrity guest character in the New Wave Pack will be revealed in an exciting announcement from WWE in the coming weeks.

Can you guess who it is? In the meantime, here is a locker code for 12,500 VC. Thanks for waiting!”

How Surprising Name Was Added To WWE 2K25

When the DLC packs for the latest WWE game were announced, many of the names were expected given that they were either stars that had signed with the company after the development had been completed or were veterans under a legends deal.

However, one of the most surprising names announced was New Jack, who was best known for his time in ECW while also being involved in numerous wrestling controversies, leading to the late wrestler becoming a topic in the VICE docuseries Dark Side of the Ring.

Following the announcement, a developer from WWE 2K25 revealed which major name pushed for New Jack to be a part of the video game.
