Major Update On WWE Crowning Liv Morgan Champion

Ronda Rousey WWE SmackDown Women's Champion Liv Morgan

Some new information has come to light surrounding Liv Morgan’s SmackDown Women’s Title victory, suggesting the idea for her win came from an unlikely source.

Las Vegas turned into Win City for Liv Morgan at Money In The Bank as she made a huge splash twice on the show. In the opening match of the night, Morgan defeated Becky Lynch, Asuka, Lacey Evans, Raquel Rodriguez, Shotzi, and Alexa Bliss to claim the all-important briefcase and become Miss Money In The Bank.

Not content with just a contract to take home, Liv Morgan set her sights on the big prize later in the night.

Ronda Rousey put her SmackDown Women’s Championship on the line against Natalya later in the evening, with the former UFC star seemingly hurting her knee during the bout. Rousey managed to defeat her former friend but was left significantly weakened which allowed Liv Morgan to pounce.

Morgan cashed in her contract there and then and after escaping from an ankle lock she was able to roll up Rousey for the win and the SmackDown Women’s Championship.

Now Ronda Rousey’s personal photographer has seemed to indicate that the idea to put the championship on Liv Morgan came from Rousey herself.

Stephanie Hypes posted a video on social media from Morgan’s quick win over Rousey and added the caption:

“Respect to Ronda Rousey, who never wanted or asked to be champion…And demanded that the most passionate pro wrestler be awarded the most prestigious title in our industry…#respect”

Reports have surfaced since Money In The Bank suggesting that Liv Morgan and Rousey will clash again for the title very soon.
