A new report has offered an update on the WWE future of Solo Sikoa with a move to the main roster set to take place in the very near future.
In recent weeks there has been an increased amount of speculation around Solo Sikoa. The son of WWE Hall of Famer Rikishi and brother to all-conquering Tag Team Champions The Usos has impressed during his relatively short NXT run.
Following suggestions that Sikoa could be moving to the main roster in September, a new report has claimed that his arrival on the main roster could happen imminently. The report from Mike Johnson of PWInsider notes that Sikoa’s promotion will be happening “ASAP.”
While there has been no confirmation regarding Solo Sikoa’s destination, his family ties to SmackDown appear to make the blue brand his likely destination.
Speaking in June Sikoa revealed that he almost missed out NXT 2.0 altogether in order to join up with his brothers and Roman Reigns on SmackDown.
The star hasn’t wrestled since defeating Von Wagner on August 2nd in a brutal Falls Count Anywhere Match.
After losing out to Tony D’Angelo at Heatwave, Santos Escobar was forced to leave NXT 2.0 as per the stipulation of the bout. It has since been reported that Escobar alongside his Legado del Fantasma stablemates, Joaquin Wilde, Cruz Del Toro and Elektra Lopez are heading to the main roster.
The same report from Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter suggested that Indi Hartwell could also be on the move.
