Major Update On Nick Aldis’ Deal With IMPACT Wrestling [Exclusive]

Nick Aldis exclusive

At Rebellion on April 16th, Nick Aldis returned to IMPACT Wrestling.

The star initially joined the commentary team for the World Championship match between Steve Maclin and KUSHIDA. The title had been declared vacant in the run-up to the show after the long-reigning champion Josh Alexander sustained a serious triceps injury.

After Maclin secured victory he attacked IMPACT President Scott D’Amore, only to be confronted by Aldis.

Despite featuring in the main event scene, there was no official word on Aldis’ new deal, if there even was one. In the wake of his return, it was reported that he was working without a contract, having reached a verbal agreement.

However, Inside The Ropes has learned that Aldis has “100% signed” a contract with IMPACT Wrestling. The length of the deal is unknown, but he has signed a contract.

Nick Aldis Is A Former TNA World Heavyweight Champion

Nick Aldis first appeared for TNA/IMPACT Wrestling back in 2008 and enjoyed a fine run of success becoming a two-time Tag Team Champion and TNA World Champion. The Brit left the company in 2015 before briefly returning two years later.

In more recent years, Aldis became a staple of the NWA, holding the Worlds Heavyweight Title for 1,043 days.

Nick Aldis officially left the NWA in January 2023, citing issues with the direction of the company. After announcing that he would be leaving in November, the NWA suspended Aldis, meaning he didn’t appear at any further tapings. This was despite the star himself stating on social media that he was prepared to honour his existing commitments.
