With big changes happening in WWE, a new report has indicated that a draft could be imminent amid an influx of formerly released talent.
Since Triple H assumed responsibilities as head of both creative and talent in WWE following Vince McMahon’s retirement, big changes have already taken place. Dakota Kai, Karrion Kross, Scarlett, Dexter Lumis, and as of SmackDown, Hit Row have all returned to the company after previously being released from their contracts.
Now a report from Fightful Select has indicated that many talents in the company believe that a WWE Draft could be on its way sooner rather than later.
The report notes that several stars of Raw are scheduled for the SmackDown show immediately following Clash At The Castle in Cardiff. While stars of the company’s blue brand are also scheduled for the Raw shows on both the 5th and 12th of September. This scheduling seems to be the driver for feeling among WWE Superstars that a draft is on the way although this has not been confirmed.
Also, WWE writers have noted that repackaging of certain stars is more likely to happen following Clash At The Castle rather than before the stadium show at this time.
The last WWE Draft took place in early October 2021 with Roman Reigns and Big E being drafted as the number one picks for SmackDown and Raw respectively. Olympic gold medallist Gable Steveson was also drafted to Raw but has yet to compete on the red brand.
