Becky Lynch hasn’t appeared on WWE television since being attacked by Damage CTRL on the August 1st edition of Monday Night Raw. The beatdown was instigated to write Lynch off television after she suffered an injury just days earlier.
At SummerSlam 2022, Lynch failed in her quest to regain the Raw Women’s from Bianca Belair. During the match Lynch injured her shoulder, but worked through the issue to carry out the planned finish to the bout. After the final bell there was a show of respect between the two women, making the Irish star a babyface once more. This was further solidified by a promo on the following Raw.
Becky Lynch In Contention To At Survivor Series
As Bianca Belair celebrated at SummerSlam she was confronted by Bayley, Dakota Kai and IYO SKY. The feud between has continued right up until the present day. It has already been announced that Belair will team with Alexa Bliss, Asuka, Mia Yim (Michin) and a mystery partner to face Damage CTRL, Rhea Ripley and Nikki Cross. It has now been reported that Becky Lynch could be the final member of ‘Team Belair.’
The report from Fightful Select claims that Lynch has been “discussed and planned” to fill the mystery spot. In addition numerous members of WWE’s “new regime” are excited to work with Lynch now that Vince McMahon is out of the picture.
While she hasn’t been in the wrestling ring, Lynch has been keeping herself busy. The former WWE Raw Women’s Champion recently appeared in season three of Young Rock. The star played the role of Cyndi Lauper in the season three premiere. Lynch’s performance and audition drew praise from none other than Dwayne Johnson, who said that he was impressed with her “high-level of commitment” adding that what she achieved was no easy feat.
