IMPACT Wrestling isn’t having their Overdrive pay-per-view until next month, however, the details of the main event are already known.
Pre-recording shows, Frankie Kazarian took his X-Division Championship and cashed it in for an opportunity to take on Josh Alexander for his World Championship. As a result, IMPACT made the match between Kazarian and Alexander the main event for Overdrive.
After Kazarian’s cash-in made the X-Division Title vacant, the promotion announced a tournament for the championship, with the Overdrive PPV playing host to the finals.
Not only would the status of the X-Division Championship change, but so did that of the Tag Team Championship, with Rhino and Heath Miller taking the belt from The Kingdom. The company has confirmed that the title-changing bout will be aired in the coming weeks. With Rhino, he took off several months after undergoing surgery, but has now returned full-time.
Also, it has been revealed that Bully Ray will be more of a regular character on IMPACT TV.
IMPACT Wrestling’s Overdrive is Friday, November 18 in Louisville, Kentucky.
