A trio of top WWE Superstars look at to miss Extreme Rules on October 8th.
While WWE Extreme Rules might be three months away, it appears that plans are well underway. Although they may not be the kind of plans that fans will be looking forward to.
As reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Roman Reigns, Brock Lesnar and Ronda Rousey all not currently being advertised for the show.
The news appears to continue the recent theme of Roman Reigns significantly cutting back his appearances with the company. Despite being Undisputed WWE Universal Champion, Reigns hasn’t wrestled on a Premium Live Event since WrestleMania Backlash.
In fact, Reigns’ Universal Championship match against Riddle on the June 17th episode of SmackDown was his first since winning the title back at WrestleMania 38.
Brock Lesnar’s potential absence has come to be expected as The Beast has always appeared sparingly outside of WWE’s “Big Four” Premium Live Events.
Lesnar and Reigns are currently scheduled to meet in a Last Man Standing Match at SummerSlam on July 30th. Reigns is also expected to appear at Clash at the Castle in Cardiff, Wales on September 3rd.
Since returning to WWE at the 2022 Royal Rumble in January, Ronda Rousey has worked a full-time schedule. After winning the Royal Rumble the star headed into a feud with Charlotte Flair which culminated with the former UFC winning the SmackDown Women’s Title at WrestleMania Backlash.
Rousey held the title until Money In The Bank where she was quickly pinned by Liv Morgan who had won the Money In The Bank briefcase early on the show.
