Major Star To Miss AEW Dynamite

AEW Dynamite Set

AEW Dynamite rolls into Chicago on June 21st, but one of the promotion’s biggest stars won’t be there.

It has been reported by Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Kenny Omega won’t feature at the Wintrust Arena in person, and will also miss the June 24th episode of Collision at the Scotiabank Arena arena in Toronto, Canada. Forbidden Door will be taking place in the same venue 24 hours later.

At the event, Omega will take on Will Ospreay in a huge rematch from Wrestle Kingdom 17 back in January. The June 14th episode of Dynamite went off the air with Ospreay standing tall after making a shock appearance to attack Omega.

It is unknown whether Omega will still feature on the show in pre-taped segments.

CM Punk Heading For AEW Dynamite

While Kenny Omega might be absent, it has been reported that CM Punk will be at Dynamite following up on his triumphant return on the debut episode of Collision just days earlier. That report suggested that The Elite had filmed content for the show, but wouldn’t be there in person.
