WWE recruited Pentagón Jr., aka Penta, in early 2025, and the former AEW star has already made an impact on Monday Night RAW.
The 40-year-old, who once held the TNA World Championship, is best known for his impeccable skills when it comes to the dance. One of Penta’s highlight moves inside the squared circle is the Mexican Destroyer — Penta lifts his opponent in a reverse piledriver position, but then flips them over their head, landing on the opponent’s head or neck, sometimes with a twisting motion.
While the piledriver itself is a frowned-upon move, one that is generally banned in WWE, athletes do tend to use it on rare occasions. There is a risk of serious injury, particularly to the neck and spine. This was pointed out by Xavier Woods on social media after what transpired recently on RAW.
Xavier Woods Issues Formal Complaint To WWE, Wants Penta’s Mexican Destroyer Banned
On X/Twitter, Xavier Woods shared a 1:49 video clip highlighting his complaint. In the message directed to WWE’s higher-ups, he urged them to ban Penta’s Mexican Destroyer, as it could potentially damage a wrestler’s career irreparably.
Woods further slammed Penta for what the former AEW star did to his specially stitched hat, which he sported on RAW recently, and pointed to The New Day attempting to save Grayson Waller from Penta.
After Penta performed this extremely dangerous maneuver on Grayson Waller last Monday, Kofi [Kingston] and I ran into the ring to make sure Grayson didn’t suffer from a serious neck injury.
During this time, Penta not only assaulted Kofi and me, but also did irreparable damage to my brand new hat — this custom, hand-stitched grieving hat that cost me $ 12,078. Also, shipping was another $700, due to the size and difficulty of shipping it across the entire Atlantic Ocean.
I demand that Penta be required to pay damages including, but not limited to, compensating me for my severe emotional distress, buy me a new hat, plus shipping it, and additional fines for committing the crime of assault live on Netflix. And lastly, the Mexican Destroyer should be banned and never allowed in a WWE ring ever again.
Love, Xavier Woods,” narrated the former World Tag Team Champion.

The New Day’s 13th reign as Tag Team Champions ended in June, and then WWE slyly segued to their next program, also featuring Grayson Waller and Penta. It remains to be seen how this translates into various matches going forward.
