A new report has offered an insight into what could be a huge spoiler for WWE’s Elimination Chamber show that could have implications for WrestleMania.
Elimination Chamber will take place in the Middle East on the 19th of February with huge matches scheduled that will have major implications for WrestleMania 38.
Roman Reigns will defend his WWE Universal Championship against WWE Hall Of Famer Goldberg with the WWE Championship on the line inside the Elimination Chamber itself. Bobby Lashley will put his WWE Title on the line against Austin Theory, Riddle, Brock Lesnar, Seth ‘Freakin’ Rollins, and AJ Styles.
It is that WWE Title match that Sports Illustrated’s Justin Barrasso has offered some insight into and says a new WWE Champion is on the cards. According to the report, Brock Lesnar will leave Elimination Chamber as WWE Champion as he readies himself for a tilt at Roman Reigns come WrestleMania 38.
After being screwed out of the championship at Royal Rumble by Roman Reigns and Paul Heyman, Lesnar has confirmed he will face Reigns at WrestleMania after winning the men’s Royal Rumble match. The Beast Incarnate has signalled his intention to make that match ‘champion vs. champion’ by reclaiming the WWE Title inside the Elimination Chamber.
It is also reported that Lesnar vs. Reigns is intended to headline night 2 of WrestleMania 38 with Ronda Rousey challenging Charlotte Flair for the SmackDown Women’s Championship slated to main event night 1.
WrestleMania 38 could also see the historic return to the ring of Stone Cold Steve Austin with rumours ramping up that The Texas Rattlesnake could be in line for a match in his home state.
