Speculation has run rampant across the wrestling world since Tony Khan announced that a free agent would “walk through the Forbidden Door” and sign with AEW on the February 9th edition of Dynamite. To add fuel to the fire, a match was set up with Private Party’s Isiah Kassidy facing a mystery opponent for a spot in Revolution’s Face Of The Revolution ladder match.

With just a few hours to go until the show, however, a new report has potentially revealed the debuting star: Per Fightful Select, Keith Lee is expected to debut on tonight’s edition of AEW Dynamite.

The former NXT Champion is expected to begin his run with the company immediately, with WWE talent reportedly hearing over the last week that Lee was AEW-bound. AEW talent, meanwhile, heard of the imminent debut as they began to travel in for the show.

However, the report was unable to confirm if Lee will be Isiah Kassidy’s opponent in the Face Of The Revolution Qualifying Match or if he will be featured elsewhere on the program. As such, the mystery free agent could still be another star entirely.

Keith Lee hasn’t wrestled since defeating Cedric Alexander on the October 25th 2021 episode of Monday Night Raw. Despite only recently being given a new gimmick and renamed Keith “Bearcat” Lee, the star was released on November 4th.

Lee initially signed with WWE back in 2018, appearing in NXT until the summer of 2020. During his time on what was still the black and gold brand, the star won the NXT and North American Championships.
