WWE presented Money In the Bank fallout and crowned a new World Heavyweight Champion on this week’s RAW. Heading into next Monday’s live show, officials are reportedly planning the kick-off to a massive new program.
World Wrestling Entertainment’s red brand will invade the Resch Center in Green Bay, WI next week. Nikki Bella is set to make an appearance, while the first King of the Ring and Queen of the Ring tournament matches will be held: Sheamus vs. Bronson Reed vs. Rusev vs. a mystery opponent, plus Stephanie Vaquer vs. Raquel Rodriguez vs. Asuka vs. Ivy Nile.
Gunther is set to appear next week for a follow-up to this week’s main event victory, which saw him dethrone Jey Uso of the World Heavyweight Championship. Now there’s talk that a long-awaited feud for The Ring General could be kicking off on next Monday’s RAW.
Bill Goldberg Set For WWE RAW Return
Bill Goldberg is currently planned for next Monday’s live RAW. A new report from Bodyslam.net notes that the 58-year-old is set to return to the storylines next week, and heavy speculation has WWE finally pulling the trigger on Goldberg vs. Gunther.
WWE and Goldberg have both confirmed plans for his retirement later this year. There was talk of having Goldberg’s final match at SNME 40 on July 12 from Center Stage in Atlanta, which would be fitting as he has strong ties to the city. The date and opponent for Goldberg’s retirement have not been confirmed.
Gunther has not been announced for a match or segment at next week’s RAW, but he is expected for a follow-up to this week’s title win. The Austrian grappler addressed the Goldberg and Seth Rollins rumors after Monday’s win.
Goldberg last wrestled on February 19, 2022 in Saudi Arabia. The Elimination Chamber six-minute opener saw Roman Reigns retain the Universal Championship over the WCW legend via referee’s decision.
