Major PR Firm Representing Former WWE Chairman Vince McMahon

Major PR Firm Representing Former WWE Chairman Vince McMahon

Earlier this week, Vince McMahon‘s legal team released a robust 29-page court filing, representing a substantial rebuttal to the allegations made by Janel Grant. In this statement, McMahon vehemently denied any wrongdoing involving Janel Grant, emphasising that her claims were false and intended for publicity.

In an update first released by POST Wrestling and Wrestlenomics, the 78-year-old ex-WWE chairman has recently enlisted the services of the public relations firm, Sitrick and Company, led by Michael S. Sitrick, a prominent figure in the field of public relations known for crisis management. Sitrick confirmed that his firm is representing McMahon, emphasising their focus on building and restoring reputations and bringing the truth to light. Notably, Sitrick’s firm has represented a wide range of clients, including well-known names such as Kobe Bryant, Pepsi, and the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Vince McMahon’s legal motion filed Tuesday strongly opposed the allegations laid out in Grant’s lawsuit against McMahon, John Laurinaitis, and WWE, asserting that the allegations will be disproven and Grant will be exposed as a liar. McMahon’s legal team has staunchly defended their client, refuting Grant’s claims and emphasising the intended purpose of her allegations. In response, Grant’s team filed a motion to strike the statement on Wednesday.

In response to Grant’s team filing a motion to strike McMahon’s statement, McMahon’s lawyer, Jessica T. Rosenberg, emphasised that Grant had no right to bring the case to a public court and then attempt to silence McMahon’s ability to respond.

According to court records, John Laurinaitis has until May 14 to respond to the case, while WWE has a deadline of June 1. McMahon’s resignation from all roles at TKO and WWE in January, following Grant’s lawsuit, has been accompanied by significant divestment of TKO shares, liquidating much of his ownership in the WWE parent company.

Could Vince McMahon Start A Rival Wrestling Promotion To WWE?

Dave Meltzer reported that Vince McMahon has a one-year non-compete clause which ends in late January 2025, and at the end of that period, he could in theory start a new wrestling promotion. Meltzer went on to say that while this is the case he believes that at 78 years old McMahon is done with the wrestling world.

In a new update, WWE is expected to file a motion to compel arbitration.
