Despite being previously reported for the show, a WWE Hall of Famer’s appearance is now uncertain.
Focusing on the fallout from Saturday Night’s Main Event and presenting the final build to the Royal Rumble, the January 27th episode of Raw will air live from Atlanta, Georgia.
Earlier in the month, Dave Meltzer reported that Atlanta’s own Goldberg was set to be in attendance for the show, likely to follow up on his previous confrontation with Gunther and to set up his final match, which is set to take place in 2025.
However, as of the time of writing, neither the company, the Hall of Famer nor the State Farm Arena in Atlanta have mentioned that the former World Champion will be at the show.
Speaking about the Hall of Famer on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer stated that as of right now he has not heard any confirmation that Goldberg will be Raw in Atlanta:
“So I don’t know about Goldberg, other than he was on the show. I have not heard confirmation that he’s on the show now, one way or the other, because he wasn’t advertised. Maybe they want to do a surprise.”
When Bryan Alvarez stated that the announcement could come at either the January 24th SmackDown or at Saturday Night’s Main Event, Meltzer noted that it would make more sense to advertise the Hall of Famer in advance given his star power:
“They could do that. But you would think that you would want to advertise Goldberg well in advance.”

However, while one WWE star was expected to be back imminently, all return plans have since been scrapped.
