Madcap Moss has won the Andre The Memorial Battle Royal, eliminating Finn Balor to claim the win!

The special WrestleMania edition of SmackDown opened with all of the competitors in the ring barring The Dirty Dawgs and Finn Balor who got their own entrances.

The first man to be eliminated, only a matter of seconds into the match was Tozowa, who was swiftly followed by Reggie and R-Truth. The eliminations came thick and fast, leading to a battle between the two biggest men in the match Commander Azeez and Shanky. But while they were side-tracked by their own issues, the rest of the Superstars in the ring joined forces to knock them over the top rope.

Next out was Damian Priest who was eliminated by his rival on Monday Night Raw, Finn Balor. The Irishman defeated Priest to win the United States Championship earlier in 2022.

This left a final-four of Balor, Dolph Ziggler, Robert Roode and Madcap Moss. As the Dirty Dawgs teamed up on Balor, Moss tried to eliminate everyone but Balor hung on as the former Tag Team Champions went flying over the top rope.

However, Balor didn’t survive much long as Moss quickly launched him to the floor to claim the win.

The Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal was introduced in 2014 at WrestleMania XXX. On that occasion it was won by now former WWE Superstar Cesaro. The match has also been won by the likes of Matt Hardy, Braun Strowman and Baron Corbin.

In 2021 it was Jey Uso who earned the win, eliminating Shinsuke Nakamura to claim victory.
