Lyra Valkyria Addresses The Difference Between WWE Raw And NXT

Lyra Valkyria has commented on the WWE Raw and NXT differences.

Stepping into her second year on the main roster, Lyra Valkyria has already cemented her legacy. As one of the most dominating women on the roster, Valkyria has already participated in the Royal Rumble, fought in the Queen of the Ring finals, and is the inaugural women’s Intercontinental Champion.

Drafted to Raw from NXT as a former NXT Women’s Champion, she has left her fans and critics impressed. Recently speaking on the Battleground Podcast, she reflected on the major differences between the two brands.

“I feel like NXT is a faster pace, whereas on the main roster, I feel like I have more…I suppose room for creativity. A lot of the time, even just traveling week to week, I don’t know, there’s just a lot more space. I feel like, in NXT, you’re in the PC every single day, so I just feel like the lifestyle of Monday Night RAW suits me a whole lot more, and I get to see so much more of the states, I get to travel. I’m absolutely loving it.”

As the current women’s mid-card champion, she is expected to be involved in a high-voltage feud at WrestleMania 41 in the next few months. Also making her Royal Rumble debut earlier this month, Valkyria suffered an unfortunate moment.

Lyra Valkyria Reflects On Royal Rumble Wardrobe Malfunction Moment

Entering as the number 4th participant in the 2025 women’s Royal Rumble match, Lyra Valkyria participated in her first-ever rumble match. Setting foot in the match as the women’s Intercontinental champion, she was one of the favorites to go deep into the bout.

However, tragedy struck soon after she set foot in the squared circle. Entering the match after Iyo Sky, Liv Morgan, and Roxanne Perez, Valkryia experienced an unfortunate wardrobe malfunction moments after she entered.

While Valkyria struggled with fixing her top and attacking her opponents, fans saw Morgan push the current champion to the corner, and gain her some crucial time to fix her attire. Recently speaking on the Battleground Podcast, Lyra Valkryia reflected on that tragic incident.

“Of course, it would be in the Royal Rumble—my biggest show ever. Why not? My top just had to fall off. I’ve never been so happy to be hit in the face. It was completely out of my control, so I just handled it the best way I could,” she said. “You can’t let stuff like that throw you off.

At the end of the day, I got to run that ramp as the Women’s Intercontinental Champion—pretty cool moment.”

Despite lasting around 16 minutes in the match, Valkryia was not able to eliminate any participant and was later put over the top rope by Ivy Nile.
