Logan Paul is a man who’s not afraid to step out of his comfort zone. The polarising YouTube star has already turned heads in the world of boxing, and has now set about doing the same in professional wrestling.
After making his in-ring WWE debut at WrestleMania 38 alongside The Miz, Paul set out on his own at SummerSlam where he overcame his former tag team partner. On both occasions, Paul impressed fans and wrestling insiders alike with his athleticism and aptitude for the business, especially given his relative inexperience.
However, Logan Paul’s next match will be something on a whole different level to anything he has experienced before in WWE. The star is set to go one-on-one with Roman Reigns at WWE Crown Jewel on November 5th, while the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship will be on the line.
Logan Paul Comments On Learning From Roman Reigns
During a WWE Q&A Paul was asked whether there is anything he could potentially learn from The Tribal Chief going into their match-up. Interestingly, the star compared Reigns with boxing legend Floyd Mayweather, who he fought in an exhibition bout in June 2021.
“I love knowledge, and when I take on the G.O.A.T’s it’s an opportunity for a masterclass for me. When I fought Floyd Mayweather, I wasn’t just fighting Floyd Mayweather, I was paying attention to every single nuanced movement that he did.
One time I was by the ropes and he had me under his arm, dude covered my mouth with his glove and stopped my breathing for, like, two breaths. An advanced move that only Floyd Mayweather would know because he has been boxing for 40 years. I’m positive Roman’s going to have some stuff up his sleeve and I’m going to be paying attention to all of it and use it and put it in my arsenal for when I become the WWE Champion.”
It was recently revealed that Logan Paul has been training with WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels as he looks overthrow Roman Reigns and claim WWE’s top prize.
WWE’s Crown Jewel is taking place at Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on Saturday 5th November. Tune in via the WWE Network: https://www.wwe.com/wwenetwork/uk-ir or on BT Sport.
