Logan Paul Reportedly Negotiated Being A Babyface With WWE

Logan Paul

Despite teaming with The Miz at WrestleMania 38, a new report has suggested that Logan Paul had negotiated being a good guy into his deal with WWE.

Logan Paul appeared at WrestleMania 37 back in 2021 in the corner of Sami Zayn for his bout with Kevin Owens. After the match, Paul chose to abandon the hated Zayn and stay and celebrate Owens’ win only to be met with a Stunner from the former Universal Champion.

At WrestleMania 38 Logan Paul returned to a WWE ring, this time competing on The Show Of Shows, teaming with The Miz to face Rey and Dominik Mysterio. Paul and Miz picked up the victory much to the chagrin of the fans in attendance but following that The Miz shockingly turned on Logan Paul, dropping the YouTube star with a Skull Crushing Finale.

Now on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer has revealed the possible reason that The Miz turned on Paul, and says Logan Paul negotiated with WWE to eventually become a good guy:

“I didn’t know this, I didn’t know it but it makes perfect sense. Do you know why they did the Logan Paul/Miz thing at the end [of their match at WrestleMania] that we couldn’t understand? Because when they made this deal with Logan Paul to do this angle, part of the deal was when the angle was over [Paul’s] gonna be babyface.”

“That was the idea. That was negotiated into the deal so I guess that’s why he was a babyface the first time too. […] This time obviously they expected when he was in Cleveland that he was gonna get cheered and he did the interview like he was gonna get cheered and he did not get cheered.”

There is no word yet if Logan Paul will be making another appearance in WWE in the near future. His former partner The Miz defeated Dominik Mysterio in singles action in just 30 seconds on Raw before Dominik and Rey were decimated by Veer Mahan.
