At WrestleMania 39, Logan Paul will take on Seth Rollins in what will be only the third singles match of his career.
The bout on night one of the event comes as a result of a rivalry that stretches back to the Royal Rumble. Paul eliminated Rollins from the men’s Rumble match and cost him the United States Title a month later.
In the buildup, both men have traded insults with Rollins claiming that no one wants the YouTube star in WWE. For his part, Paul has knocked The Visionary out cold. Twice.
Paul has also announced that his current contract with WWE is due to expire following WrestleMania, sparking speculation about whether he will now leave the company.
Speaking in a new interview with Ariel Helwani, Paul revealed that his current deal actually expires on April 1st. He also admitted that he would be open to re-signing with the company, although is unsure about the length of a potential contract.
“So this was a topic my manager and I were talking about. My life moves so fast and I don’t know what my stock will be in a year,” Paul responded. “And so it seems a little irresponsible to sign anything longer than year-long contracts, right? I don’t know, what’s going to happen in a year? Last year, at this time, I had no idea I was going to be a full-time — or even like almost full-time — wrestler as like a staple of my career. And now I am.
I mean, let’s be honest bro, they’re going to f*cking renew my contract. I mean, like come on. It’d be silly not to.”
Logan Paul Vs. John Cena At SummerSlam?
While Logan Paul might not have a deal with WWE beyond WWE, it seems that he’s still being kept in mind with regard to future plans. At one stage there were tentative plans for Paul to take on John Cena at WrestleMania, a match he publicly asked for. Interestingly, it has been reported that the bout “remains on the table” and could instead take place at SummerSlam.
