Logan Paul Challenges Incarcerated Celebrity to MMA Fight

Logan Paul makes his entrance on WWE SmackDown 2022

Logan Paul has made a huge impact in WWE since debuting in WWE in 2021, but the star has issued a surprise challenge as he continues to rehabilitate a knee injury suffered against Roman Reigns in November

Logan Paul calls out currently incarcerated celebrity

The outspoken star, who made his name on YouTube, has famously featured in the ring outside of WWE before, having taken on British star KSI and legendary undefeated boxer Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather in high grossing boxing bouts.

But the 27 year-old has hit the headlines again, this time challenging Andrew Tate to a fight with MMA rules.

Former professional kickboxer Tate is currently held in a Bucharest prison awaiting trial on sex trafficking and kidnapping charges, but has previously made negative public comments about Logan Paul including an allegation of steroid use.

Paul did not take kindly to the comments and when interviewed on the Timbo Sugar Show recently, he challenged Tate to face him in the Octagon:

So I got a solution, why don’t we do something that both of us have never done? Clean record, 0 and 0, let us step into the f***ing octagon brother. An MMA fight, me vs. Tate, in the UFC. Bro, he knows how to kick, I can’t throw a kick for my life. He has two of the three skillsets, I have two of the three skillsets. He’s a world-champion kickboxer, I’m a YouTuber with no wins, bro. What are you f***ing running from?

With Tate still in prison, Paul could face a wait to get his wish. His comments do suggest that he has recovered from the injury suffered at WWE Crown Jewel on 5th November 2022 in a terrific WWE Undisputed Universal Title match with Roman Reigns.

Previously Paul had won over WWE fans with an outstanding performance at Wrestlemania 38, where he teamed with The Miz to defeat Rey Mysterio and Dominik Mysterio. That outing earnt him a WWE contract in June 2022, before he went on to defeat former partner The Miz at Summerslam in Nashville on July 30th.

His exact return date remains unknown but some speculate he could be a surprise entrant at this year’s Royal Rumble Premium Live Event on 28th January.
