Natalya

WWE Superstars grant Make-a-Wish wishes in Saudi Arabia

WWE and Make-a-Wish Foundation have had a longstanding partnership, perhaps best represented by John Cena, who holds the record for most wishes granted. It appears they’re continuing to spread that love overseas, as well, as WWE stars Natalya, Kofi Kingston, and Cody Rhodes visited a sick child in the hospital that gave them flowers when they arrived.

Roman Reigns

Roman Reigns isn't vibing with what Jimmy Uso said

Reigns throws the mic out of Jey’s hand and stares both Usos down. Jimmy breaks eye contact and Roman tosses his mic. Zayn tells Roman that it’s over and The Bloodline is collapsing, and it’s all his fault.

He smacks the mic out of Zayn’s hand. Owens defends him by hitting the stunner on Reigns. The Usos attack KO/Sami, but suddenly, Solo Sikoa runs in and uses the Samoan spike on the Tag Team Champions! Roman picks up Sami and throws him into a spear from Roman! The Usos come back inside of the ring with the tag team titles as Roman stares them down. Jey gives the two belts to Solo. Jimmy hesitates and looks at the Tag Titles for a long time. Jey stops him and yanks the belts from his hands, then giving them to Roman.

Roman holds up all 4 of the tag title belts as the show comes to an end, but Jimmy is the only person not posing the “We the Ones.”

Kevin OWens

Kevin Owens Show featuring The Bloodline

Kevin Owens welcomes the crowd to the show, saying that at Night of Champions, they have the title defense against Roman Reigns & Solo Sikoa. The entrance of The Bloodline follows. Paul Heyman comes out and says that it isn’t up to them when Reigns comes down to the ring. The Usos then enter, interrupting Heyman.

Jey Uso is ticked off, saying they haven’t forgotten everything that’s been happening. Jey says the real problem they have is right in front of them. Owens says he knew Roman wasn’t going to come out and he really wanted to talk to The Usos. Owens mentions how Sami Zayn hasn’t given up hope on them, so Owens is going to try to say something. Zayn has been right the whole time about how Roman treats them and they deserve better.

Owens says that as far as he is concerned, Roman calls himself the Head of the Table despite the fact that The Usos are the heart of The Bloodline. Instead, Owens says they treat them like they are disposable. They get used by Roman. Owens ask The Usos what they think when they look in the mirror now that they’ve gone from being the greatest tag team in WWE to the errand boys of Roman.

Jimmy says that when it comes to them and it comes to The Day Ones, Jimmy is the Tribal Chief! Roman Reigns is coming out!

Sami Zayn

Here comes The Undisputed Tag Team Champs!

Returning to the show, Styles is interviewed backstage. He says that Seth Rollins can be invincible, unstoppable, and whatever he wants, but he’ll never be Phenomenal. He’s going to put a beating on Seth tomorrow night on the path to the World Title.

We see a rundown of the Night of Champions card! A replay of the rivalry between Cody Rhodes and Brock Lesnar is then featured.

Coming to the ring next is Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens!

AJ with a dropkick and boots to Kross. Scarlett makes a distraction that allows Kross to knock AJ off the apron as he was about to use a Phenomenal Forearm. Michin from the OC is coming down to chase out Scarlett! They run out of the arena as we go to a break.

LA Knight

LA Knight vs. Rick Boogs

The Street Profits are on commentary for this one. Rick Boogs enters after LA Knight, and the bell sounds! Boogs hits an immediate shoulder tackle and a toss that sends LA out of the rings. He hits him with a right and a press onto the commentary table. Knight with some knees and stomps on Boogs, but Rick comes back with a right and a clothesline in the corner.

Boogs misses a spear in the corner, nailing the ring post on the outside. Knight uses a running boot in the corner to keep the control. Boogs fights back with an elbow, but he’s still thrown head-first into the mat. He uses a forward-facing headlock but Boogs tosses him off with ease. After that, Boogs catches LA off the second rope and uses a big back body drop.

Knight uses some kicks to the abdomen, but Boogs catches him with an impressive gutwrench suplex where he rolled him back and forth before tossing him. Knight escapes the pumphandle slam with a  rake to the eyes, followed by his BFT for the 3 count! Knight wins while the Profits look on in disbelief.

Knight says The Profits are talking trash and if The Profits keep talking, he’ll kick their “5 dollar” a***. He says he’ll give them the smoke and get smoked if they want. “Yeah!” Knight leaves.

Karrion Kross and Scarlett are backstage, holding a tarot card with AJ Styles on it. He gives a monologue about his match with Styles, saying he should be asking how he’s going to feel tonight after being victimized by Karrion Kross. Their match is up next!

Bianca Belaire

Belair is surprise attacked by her challenger

We come back from commercial with Belair holding the mic and swinging her ponytail. She says that tomorrow night at Night of Champions, she will defend against Asuka. The Asuka at WrestleMania she actually respected, but this one in the rematch is different. She wants more than just the Raw Women’s Title. The EST says that all The Empress of the Tomorrow needed to do was ask for a title match.

Belair recalls how Asuka attacked her in her hometown of Tennessee. She says Asuka isn’t only getting a rematch, she’s getting a fight! Here comes Asuka! Her music hits but she actually surprises Belair from behind! She uses the cross armbar and laughs as producers and referees run down to the ring. They break the two women apart but Asuka runs over to Bianca anyway. Belair catches her with the KOD! One of the people helping catch her and Asuka makes it out of the ring safely.

We see Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn talking strategy backstage before the KO Show later tonight.

Here comes LA Knight! He will battle Rick Boogs!

Bianca Belaire

Asuka vs. Bianca Belair is highlighted

Baron Corbin comes out of nowhere and attacks Grimes as he’s celebrating on the ramp! Ouch! Looks like their rivalry is just beginning.

We see a video about what has been happening between Asuka and Bianca Belair ahead of the Raw Women’s Title match this Saturday. Belair is on the way to the ring!

Cameron Grimes

Ashanti Thee Adonis vs. Cameron Grimes

We return and see a hype video for Grayson Waller. Grimes comes out next and we see a backstage promo he filmed earlier about how he’s going to continue meeting the high expectations for him and go TO THE MOON! The bell rings and Grimes hits a shoulder tackle, hurricanrana, a kick, and a standing shooting star press for a quick two count. What a sequence!

Adonis hits some shots but lands on his face on the second turnbuckle. Top Dolla swipes the foot of Grimes, allowing Adonis to take over. He hits an Irish whip and a dropkick for his own quick two-count. Grimes counters a back suplex and uses some running double forearms. Cayman stomp gives him the win! Grimes is still on the way to the moon!!

Seth Rollins

Seth Rollins gives final thoughts before Night of Champions

We see a replay of some of the interview from this past Monday on Raw where Seth Rollins talks about how much he loves pro wrestling. We then see a video of AJ Styles! The two will battle this Saturday to determine the new World Heavyweight Champion.

Next out is Hit Row!

Shotzi

Raquel and Shotzi are looking like a promising duo ahead of Women's Tag Title match

The show comes back with Bayley controlling Raquel. Iyo tags in and adds to the attack. She twists Raquel into a wrist lock and does yet another tag in. Bayley and Iyo are kicked away by Rodriguez, allowing her to finally get to Shotzi. She uses a bulldog, running knee, and right hand to Bayley. She follows it with a vertical suplex and a senton on the ropes for a two on Bayley.

Iyo distracts the ref, allowing Bayley to poke the eye of Shotzi. She tags Iyo and they hit a double boot to Shotzi for another two count broken up by Raquel. Shotzi misses some kicks and eats one herself. Shotzi catches Iyo with a double underhook suplex for a close two count. Bayley saves her! Shotzi tags Raquel in and they go for a double-team attack. Bayley interrupts it and tags in. The finish was strange, though. Iyo landed on Raquel which made her fall on Bayley and pun her, giving Shotzi and Raquel the win.

Damage CTRL starts arguing at ringside as the match ends.

Raquel Gonzalez

Raquel Rodriguez & Shotzi vs. Bayley & Iyo Sky

After Raquel and Shotzi, Damage CTRL comes down to the ring. The bell rings, and the match starts with Raquel and Bayley. Bayley slaps Raquel instantly, which frustrates Rodriguez. Iyo distracts Raquel to get a tag in. Raquel still has enough power to make it to her side and tag in Shotzi. They all start throwing punches! Damage Ctrl is thrown out of the ring and eats an assisted suicide dive from Shotzi.

Raquel with ripcord shoulder tackles. Iyo escapes her grasp and Bayley tags in. They use a tandem dropkick to get another two count! We go to another break.

Jimmy Uso

Jimmy Uso is resisting The Tribal Chief's demands

Theory celebrates while Pretty Deadly runs to safety outside of the arena. We then head to a replay of what happened last Friday on WWE SmackDown between The Bloodline and Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn. We see The Bloodline backstage where Roman tells Heyman to speak. Paul tells The Usos that they aren’t coming to Night of Champions, but next Friday, they’re invited to the 1000th day celebration of Roman Reigns’ title reign.

Reign emphasizes that he wants Jey to be there. This irritates Jimmy, who says Roman is tripping. He leaves to go somewhere else, so Roman tells him to stay and sit down. Jimmy resists. Roman is pissed, telling him that he should do something if he is going to stand up. He says that he’ll whoop him like he did back when they were kids. Roman promises Jimmy will acknowledge him next week.

Here comes Raquel Rodriguez! She and Shotzi will battle Damage CTRL!

Austin Theory

Theory steals the victory to retain the US Title

We return with Theory clubbing away at Sheamus inside the ring. Theory eats an elbow and a kick in the corner. He follows it up with a spinning forearm and an unsuccessful pinfall. Theory hits the rolling blockbuster out of the corner but only gets a two-count. Theory starts disrespecting Sheamus by shoving his head, which causes Sheamus to come back with a headbutt, a kick, and some clotheslines.

He clotheslines Theory in the corner a few times and hits the Irish curse backbreaker for another close two count (they’re piping in some of the fan noise and it’s a laugh). Sheamus with a body slam on Theory for another two. Sheamus climbs to the second rope to deliver the White Noise, but Theory slides out and transitions into a spin-out powerbomb for another close two.

Theory is on the apron and boots Sheamus in the head. He goes to grab a chair, but The Brawling Brutes rip it out of his hands. It allows Sheamus to catch Theory in the ten beats of the Bodhran! He keeps going all the way to 25!!! Sheamus is ready for the brogue kick when, suddenly, Pretty Deadly appear at ringside and attack the Brawling Brutes. Sheamus is distracted and is rolled up. He pulls Sheamus’ tights and steals the win!

AJ Styles

AJ Styles has his final dinner before match against Seth Rollins at WWE Night of Champions

This Saturday, one of the most important matches in WWE history will take place when the newly resurrected WWE World Heavyweight Champion is decided in a match between Seth Rollins and AJ Styles.

But before the match even gets underway, “The Phenomenal” stopped by a steakhouse in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia for a final dinner before the big night. Styles remains level-headed as he prepares for the premium live event.

So, here we are. It looks like this is the last big meal before the big fight between Seth and myself, and I’m looking forward to this steak. Gotta’ have that protein. Dude, I’m cool as a cucumber. It doesn’t really get to me; I’m not really nervous. It will be that time tomorrow when we’re in Gorilla that the butterflies will start.

Bret Hart

Bret Hart receives spot on Canada's Walk of Fame

WWE Hall of Famer Bret Hart has received yet another accolade honoring his endearing contributions to professional wrestling. Alongside sports stars like Wayne Gretzky and Terry Fox, Hart was inducted into the Walk of Fame Athletics Pillar of Achievement category

“I just want to say how special it was for me to be a wrestling hero or a TV hero for so many Canadians across the country,” Hart said after revealing his spot on the walk (h/t Post Wrestling). “I’ve had such a great journey and such a great ride and I’m really proud of my career. Booker T

Booker T wants former WWE star to compete at his wrestling school

Alicia Fox had a solid run on the WWE roster, even becoming the Divas Champion at one point — the equivalent of the Women’s Championship in her era. Fox last competed in WWE at the 2022 Royal Rumble, but according to WWE Hall of Famer Booker T, Fox is interested in stepping back into the squared circle.

“I talked to Alicia Fox yesterday. She wants to come down and knock some of the rust off at Reality of Wrestling and get a little bit of insight and knowledge as far as what this journey may be like that she’s getting ready to partake in.

“My thing is there is so much more outside of WWE, outside of AEW, and IMPACT Wrestling. This business is plentiful. The thing is, you can be working every week somewhere in this business because that’s how much work is out there, and then to find your way back to that spot, and that spot may not be WWE. It might be IMPACT. It might be AEW. You never know. It might be Japan. You just never know.”

Becky Lynch

Becky Lynch has a promise for Trish Stratus at Night of Champions

We’re just one night away from the WWE Night of Champions premium live event in Saudi Arabia, where Becky Lynch will battle WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus for the very first time. At today’s Night of Champions press conference, the two competitors came face-to-face to exchange final words before their bout. For Lynch, things have become extra personal due to her family being involved.

My baby doesn’t understand this business and she made my baby cry. And for that — they call you the queen of the Attitude Era? Well, I’m going to slap the Attitude Era out of you tomorrow night!

Sami Zayn

Sami Zayn sees Mecca for the first time

Living the life of a WWE superstar has some bonus incentives, like being able to travel the globe as you work. However, that can also come with a set of complications. When WWE traveled to Saudi Arabia in recent years, Zayn was left off of the match cards due to his Syrian heritage and the animosity between Saudi Arabia and Syria. Now that Syria has been readmitted into the Arab League, Zayn could come to Saudi Arabia this time and will compete in a main event match at Night of Champions.

This visit also allowed him to visit the Islamic holy city of Mecca for the first time. You can see a video of Zayn’s reaction below:

“Being a pro wrestler and being with WWE has taken me to places I never dreamed I’d get to see and do things I never thought I’d get to do. It has provided me a life filled with incredible experiences that I will cherish forever. This one is at the top of the list. الحمدلله”

Bianca Belaire

Bianca Belair thinks she's ready for Asuka

This Saturday, the WWE Universe will be treated to a WrestleMania rematch when Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Beliar defends her title against “The Empress of Tomorrow,” Asuka. But ahead of the bout, Belair stopped by for an interview with WWE.com to discuss how excited she is to be back in Saudi Arabia for Night of Champions.

You know, I’ve had a lot of accomplishments in a very short amount of time and I just feel very blessed and honored to be here, standing here as your Raw Women’s Champion for 400+ days. I’m here in Saudi Arabia, and I’m always excited to come back here because the fans are so passionate and they’re excited to see us and I’m excited to see them

Asuka is no easy mountain to climb, and Belair knows that well. However, this time is a bit different because Asuka has presented a new attitude that’s exposed her heel side.

This is a WrestleMania rematch. The Asuka we saw at WrestleMania, this is not the same Asuka. And, listen, I will fight Asuka as many times as she wants to fight. I would have given Asuka a rematch — all she had to do was ask. But, no, she waited until I was in my hometown, in front of all my family and all my friends, and she messed with me.

Kurt Angle

Kurt Angle regrets one storyline during his WWE run

There have been some questionable storylines in past years of WWE, including a period of time where Olympic Gold Medalist and WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle was a “pervert” that chased around Booker T’s wife, Sharmell. It was obviously fiction and part of their ongoing feud, but that’s one part of his character Angle still regrets to this day.

“I totally regret it. I didn’t want any part of it. Even though I got to wrestle Booker, I’d rather not wrestle Booker than do what I had to do with Sharmell.”

You can read more about this story here.

SmackDown

Good evening!

Good evening, everyone! It’s Friday, so we’ve got a new episode of SmackDown on deck. Not long after, we’ve got the WWE Night of Champions premium live event on Saturday, AEW Double or Nothing on Sunday, and WWE Raw on Monday, so keep it locked with us!

Tonight’s show includes a new episode of the KO Show with WWE Unspiduted Universal Champion Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa as the special guests. The Bloodline will battle champions Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn in a tag team match at Night of Champions this Saturday for the Undisputed Tag Team Titles.

In the realm of news, it was reported earlier today that Cody Rhodes is still seen as the top prospect to rival Roman Reigns in the long term. Rhodes is scheduled to face Brock Lesnar in a singles match this weekend despite Cody having a kayfabe “broken arm.” When Roman and Cody cross paths again is anyone’s guess right now.
