Donald Trump

Donald Trump Facing Criminal Charges

Donald Trump ladder

WWE Hall of Famer Donald Trump (his greatest achievement I’m sure) as found himself in some hot water and is facing criminal charges for a hush money payment made in the run-up to the 2016 presidential election.

Trump, best known to wrestling fans for his 2007 feud with Vince McMahon (and being president of the United States.), is facing criminal charges after a grand jury voted to indict him after an investigation into a payment worth £130,000 was made to adult entertainment star Stormy Daniels in 2016. The payment was reportedly to buy Daniels’ silence as a way of covering up an affair.

Donald Trump has not appeared for the WWE following the 2007 ‘Battle of the Billionaires ‘ feud but was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame back in 2013 when he was still best known for firing ambitious business owners on The Apprentice USA.

You can read more about Trump’s criminal charges and WWE history, here.

Speaking with Aerial Helwani, Michaels would address the claims stating that it was simply a matter of holidays and not trying to go head to head with AEW.

“Look, I’ll say this, in the past we [WWE] have done well on the holidays. So that’s my understanding of why we did that, it’s no different than you know we used to do stuff back in the day on Christmas or Thanksgiving. Holidays were always big days, that’s what this is for us.”
