Edge

WWE Confident Edge Is Not Going To AEW

Edge, Sheamus and Drew McIntyre on WWE Raw

With Edge’s WWE contract, and potentially his career, winding down, fans have been speculating over a potential move for the Rated-R Superstar to AEW.

However, according to a new report, WWE are extremely confident that Edge will not be making the jump to AEW.

WrestleVotes has told GiveMeSport that WWE would be “surprised” if the Ultimate Opportunist did make the jump, even with Christian being on the other side.

“If he retires the summer in Toronto, I wouldn’t be surprised. I would be surprised if he finishes his current deal and then goes to AEW, WWE would be surprised too.

“Even though you’ve got Christian factor, you know, they could team one more time and wrestle each other one more time, I’d be surprised if he wrestles past WWE. WWE would be very surprised as well.”

You can read more about this new report, here.

Nikki Bella

Nikki Bella Couldn't M*sturbate Because Of John Cena

Nikki Bella Brie Bella Nikki Garcia Brie Garcia The Bella Twins The Garcia Twins

Hilarious quotes from Nikki Bella have resurfaced from her time as the face of E Network’s Total Bellas.

Back in 2015 John Cena stared in Hollywood comedy film ‘Trainwreck’ alongside Amy Schumer.

During the film, Cena takes part in a s*x scene where the audience is ‘treated’ to multiple shots of Cena’s behind as he ‘goes to town’ on his co-star.

Nikki Bella once revealed that she found the scene so awkward to watch that it actually impacted her ability to m*sturbate for an extended period of time.

Speaking on Total Bellas, Nikki would state:

“Imagine watching your man do a sex scene and have the whole world see his big butt..”

You know you get visuals. I swear I couldn’t masturbate forever because I just think of the sex scene.”

Since the clip originally aired, Cena and Nikki would separate with the latter recently tying the knot with professional dancer Artem Chigvintsev.

Jeff Hardy

Jeff Hardy Comments On Shock AEW Return

Jeff Hardy entrance

After shocking the world, Jeff Hardy has broken his silence on why now was the right time for him to make his AEW return.

In a post on Instagram after the show, Jeff Hardy thanked fans for welcoming him back.

“ThankYouMilwaukee,WI.&TWTWW! . .”

You can see the full Instagram post, here.

Dave Meltzer

Matt Koon Calls Out Dave Meltzer - "We Get It, You Don’t Want Him Back"

Host of FTR with Dax Harwood, Matt Koon has called out Dave Meltzer for poor journalistic practice during a recent recording of Wrestling Observer Radio.

Koon would talk to Twitter, responding to a clip of Meltzer talking about a potential AEW return for CM Punk in which he would brand ‘The Second City Saint’ “unprofessional” blasting his shoot promo on Adam Page stating that “there is no defending it.”

Meltzer would go on to say that because CM Punk was never ‘punished’ this has generated backstage heat in AEW.

Koon would blast the Wrestling Observer host, calling for Meltzer to “put all that away and be a journalist” whilst claiming that neither Meltzer or The Elite [implied] want to see CM Punk back in AEW.

“Why was this bad faith analysis the first thing I saw in Twitter today?
Jeez, we get it, you don’t want him back, your friends don’t want him back. Now put all that away and be a journalist if you still have it in you.

Bronson Reed

Bronson Reed Knows Everyone Loves His Meat

Bronson Reed

Yes, you read that title correctly.

Former North American Champion Bronson Reed has made it known that he knows…everybody LOVES his meat.

During their match on Monday Night Raw, Reed and Bobby Lashley simply took to beating the hell out of each other and the small matter of a ten count from the referee wasn’t going to stop them.

After the final bell, the pair continued to brawl at ringside before eventually being separated by a number of referees and officials that swarmed the scene.

Speaking on The Bump, Reed would reveal that he saw all of the comments on social media following the match and one thing was clear, people loved seeing his meat slammed about.

[I am hoping if I just say it enough it will begin to sound less weird, is it working?]

““It’s evident… everyone loves my MEAT”

Sasha Banks

Mercedes Mone Claims She Is The Female Dwayne Johnson

Mercedes Mone fka Sasha Banks in NJPW

Mercedes Mone is taking NJPW by storm following her shock departure from the WWE in late 2022,

Ahead of her upcoming clash with STARDOM star Mayu Iwatani, the former Sasha Banks has laughed off suggestions she is the female Jon Moxley, instead stating that she is the female Dwayne Johnson.

Taking to social media, Mone would respond to a fan tweet ‘explaining’ why ‘Sasha Banks’ is the female Dean Ambrose, a comparison the former WWE Women’s Champion wasn’t the biggest fan of.

“More like the female @TheRock #TheCEO”

You can read more about Mercedes’ comments, here.

Gangrel ALMOST Returned At WrestleMania 39!

Gangrel

Appearing on the Reffin’ It Up podcast with Brian Hebner, Gangrel was asked whether WWE contracted him over an appearance. The veteran said that he was never contacted but Edge told him that the idea was pitched.

They may have discussed it, but my phone never rang. I started reading all the stuff, people were calling me, so I wrote Adam [Edge], ‘Do you know this started?’

He made a joke, ‘these writers think they know everything.’ I laughed. I tried to tell a guy to tell them, ‘No, I wasn’t doing it,’ but he still ran the story anyway.

He goes, ‘To be fair, it was pitched, it just never happened.’ It was pitched, but I never heard about it.

I didn’t know anything about it. They never reached out to me. I guess, Edge is always pitching something for me. I think he pitched SummerSlam for me, but it got shot down. [h/t to Fightful]

Chris Jericho

Chris Jericho Fires Back At Critics Of AEW All In

Chris Jericho

Chris Jericho has taken to social media to blast those who are dubbing AEW All In 2023 a failure before tickets have even gone on sale.

Ever since news broke that AEW would be running the legendary 90,000-seaters Wembley Stadium in London this August for All In, speculation has mounted on how many ticket sales are required for the event to be considered a success.

The likes of Dave Meltzer have speculated that 30-40% would be considered a financial success but some fans on social media believe that less than 50% would be a visual disaster for the show.

The ‘Demo-God’ himself has now taken to social media to respond to those trying to brand the event a failure already.

“Makes me laugh when critics already proclaim AEW All In at Wembley Stadium a failure.

Nobody has ANY idea how many tickets we will sell…except the fact checkers & promoters who’ve done their research. Once again, I expect a shitload of loudmouths to have their mouths SHUT!”

You can read more about Jericho’s comments, here.

Keith Lee

Keith Lee Tells Troll To "Get A Life" Following Social Media Criticism

Keith Lee took to social media to fire back at a troll who criticised the AEW star’s appearance during this week’s episode of Dynamite.

The Twitter user in question replied to a clip of Lee’s entrance from the April 12th edition of AEW Dynamite, telling the former NXT Champion to ‘get some hair dye’.

Never one to back down from abuse, Lee responded just hours later telling the troll to ‘get a life’, a response that was met by a flurry of support from fans in the replies.

Lee is not the only AEW Superstar to fire back at online criticism recently, Chris Jericho took to Twitter to fire back at abuse surrounding his potential role at AEW All In this August. You can read more about that, here.

Sean Waltman

Eric Bischoff Believes DX "Wouldn't Have Lasted Four Months" Without Sean Waltman

Sean Waltman DX D-Generation X Triple H Shawn Michaels Road Dogg Kurt Angle

Earlier in the week we talked about the incredible story of Sean Waltman fostering a blind dog following the tragic passing of his previous dog ‘Lula’.

Well it turns out it’s not just the fans who think Sean Waltman is one of wrestling greatest talents, WWE Hall of Famer Eric Bischoff thinks that Waltman was the crucial factor in DX’s long term success.

Speaking on his 83 Weeks Podcast, Bischoff would reveal that he believes it was Waltman’s move from WCW to WWE that was a ‘huge shot in the arm’ even going as far as to call it as important as Mike Tyson for WWE’s turnaround on WCW.

“Waltman was a huge shot in the arm for them. I’m sure there are plenty of people who will disagree with me, and they may be right. I may be wrong. I’ll never change my opinion when I tell you that I think Sean Waltman was as important to the turnaround for WWE than just about anything else, including Mike Tyson…

I think that was as an important piece of the puzzle for WWE than anything else. As any other one thing. I’ll go even further, and I know this is going to piss some people off, I don’t think D-X would have lasted four months at that point. Waltman is the reason D-X worked. [h/t to Fightful]

CM Punk

CM Punk Trolls Fans Amidst AEW Return Rumours

CM Punk Jon Moxley

Continuing this morning’s ballad of CM Punk – ‘The Second City Saint’ would take to Instagram late last night to troll fans following reports of a possible AEW return.

CM Punk would share not one but two Instagram Stories in an attempt to hilariously troll fans;

The first was a photoshopped image of his face over the body of Sylvester Stallone’s Rocky from Rocky III – in a reference to Jon Moxley’s references to the iconic film when trying to justify a ‘refusal to lose’ to Punk during their AEW feud.

The second Instagram story is a photo of a Bingo hall with balloons spelling “WELCOME” underneath a scoreboard. With rumors that Punk wants to return to wrestling but is open to wrestling elsewhere if he doesn’t reach a deal with AEW, this post adds fuel to the fire that he may be seeking a return to independent wrestling, which is often held in Bingo halls and gymnasiums.

Both, now deleted, Instagram Stories can be viewed, here.

Gunther

"To Hell With That" - Booker T Refused To Take A Chop From GUNTHER!

WWE star Gunther chops Sheamus

GUNTHER put on a record setting performance at WrestleMania 39 in a brutal match up against former WWE Champions Sheamus and Drew McIntyre.

Fans around the world were grasped by the sheer brutality and physicality of the match, with many calling it an all time WrestleMania great.

Booker T and GUNTHER shared the ring during the 2023 WWE Royal Rumble and the ‘Five Time’ World Champion has revealed that he was almost convinced to take a chop from ‘The Ring General’ before having second thoughts – and we don’t blame him!

“When I was in the Rumble, I thought about taking one of those chops and then I said, ‘Man, to hell with that. I’m not taking that d*** chop.”

Booker T would also reveal his thoughts on GUNTHER and if he sees the former NXT UK Champion making it to the very top of the WWE.

Would you take a chop from GUNTHER? Let us know by smashing the thumbs down below!

Kenny Omega

Kenny Omega's AEW Contact Set To Expire In November 2023.

Kenny Omega

AEW without Kenny Omega seems like an impossible scenario, however as things stand it is a very real possibility for the near future.

Recently Konnan hinted in an interview that Omega had re-signed with AEW despite on-going talks with the WWE however this information appears to be, at least partially, untrue.

Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer has revealed that Kenny Omega’s AEW contact is set to expire in just six months time and no new deal has currently been agreed!

“Kenny Omega is under contract to AEW, his contract was extended because he was out for I think nine months due to injuries. I believe that he is under contract until around November/December. There is no new deal that’s been signed.”

Although as things stand Omega is set to depart AEW later this year, it is extremely likely that ‘The Cleaner’ will sign a new deal with the company and fans should not begin to predict Omega as a shcok entrant in the 2024 WWE Royal Rumble just yet!

You can read more about Kenny Omega’s discussions with WWE, here.

Vickie Guerrero

Vickie Guerrero Files Lawsuit Against Daughter Sherilyn Guerrero Following Sexual Assault Allegation

Vickie Guerrero

After Sherilyn Guerrero accused her stepfather of sexual assault, Vickie Guerrero and husband Kris Benson are prepared to take her to court.

Earlier this week, Guerrero’s daughter Sherilyn accused her stepfather Kris Benson of sexually assaulting her.

In her statement on TikTok, she alleges that the incident took place on a 2020 cruise, and she said she was done being silent about the situation despite receiving pushback from her mother, who she says did not support her in the incident and sided with her husband.

After issuing a statement online claiming that her daughter was ‘manipulating’ everyone and accusing her of being ‘hostile’ for years, Guerrero would deactivate all her social media accounts.

Guerrero has since reactivated her Instagram account in order to share a message from her lawyer stating that they will be taking Sherilyn to court in order to fight these ‘unsubstantiated’ allegations.

You can read Vickie Guerrero’s full statement, here.

CM Punk

Will CM Punk Return to AEW? What Do The Fans Think?

CM Punk

We took to Twitter yesterday to ask you “Will CM Punk return to AEW” and the results are in.

From over 900 entrants, a whopping 97.35% of you thought that we will see CM Punk return to AEW in 2023!

The general theme of responses was that if AEW is going to sell out all 90,000 seats in Wembley Stadium for All In this August, that CM Punk “needs” to be involved in some way or another with the most popular option a six man tag team match alongside FTR to take on Kenny Omega & The Young Bucks.

I am not sure I myself see it happening, I think there might just be too many moving stakeholders for Tony Khan to be able to juggle successfully but I certainly hope that Cult of Personality blasts around a sold out Wembley later this year.

Do you agree with the results of the poll? Do you think CM Punk will make his return this year? ‘Get Involved’ by hitting the link at the top of the page or let us know by smashing the thumbs down below!

CM Punk

CM Punk Returning to AEW?

CM Punk at AEW All Out

Let’s kick things off with possibly the biggest news from the last 48 hours – CM Punk’s potential AEW return.

What do we know?

Earlier this week Dax Harwood would speak on his ‘FTR with Dax’ podcast about ‘The State of Professional Wrestling’ – during that podcast Dax would reveal that CM Punk is looking to return to AEW as he misses the fans [you can read more about this, here].

Fightful Select would then report that Punk has laid out multiple scenarios that would see him return to AEW including a potential programme with The Elite, however, the report would also reveal that Punk is also open to ‘working elsewhere’ but it was not clear if this meant Ring of Honor or a different company such as WWE or NJPW.

Additionally, it was revealed that Kenny Omega and The Elite are not keen on working with Punk should he return, which may be the biggest barrier moving forward.
