WWE Slammed By Auschwitz Memorial Museum

WWE WrestleMania 39 Rey Mysterio vs. Dominik Mysterio

WWE finds themselves in hot water after accidentally using footage of Auschwitz Concentration Camp during a WrestleMania 39 video package.

The video package, designed for the build to Dominik vs Rey Mysterio, showed several prison institutions before cutting to footage of Auschwitz, footage that was swiftly removed from the final cut after eagled eyed viewers pointed out the concentration camp on Twitter.

In a post on social media the Auschwitz Memorial Museum has branded the use of the image “shameless,” adding that it “insults the memory of all victims of Auschwitz.”

““The fact that Auschwitz image was used to promote a WWE match is hard to call “an editing mistake”.

Exploiting the site that became a symbol of enormous human tragedy is shameless and insults the memory of all victims of Auschwitz.””

Shaul Guerrero

Shaul Guerrero has issued a statement after her sister Sherilyn accused Vickie Guerrero’s husband — their stepfather — of sexually assaulting her.

Earlier this week Sherilyn Guerrero, daughter of Vickie and Eddie Guerrero, took to TikTok to make allegations of sexual assault against her step father.

Vickie would respond, defending her husband in a scathing social media post, ending with the statement that Sherliyn was no long part of her family.

Now, Shaul Guerrero, best known for her run in WWE NXT, has taken to Instagram to clarify allegations made in Sherilyn’s initial video.

Ric Flair

Ric Flair Blasts "Mamby Pamby" WrestleMania 39 Match

Logan PaulWrestleMania 39 was a massive success, both from a commercial/revenue perspective and from a fan feedback POV with many calling it an all time great WrestleMania.

Ric Flair however was not a fan of one match in particular!

Speaking on his podcast, Ric Flair would blast Seth Rollins clash with Logan Paul, calling the match “mamby pamby.” (No, I am not entirely sure what that means either.)

“Well, first of all, Seth can work like hell. But when you do mamby pamby, stuff like that, then you watch Ashley and Rhea chopping and knocking each others [heads off], I mean, pounding each other. You look and you think what the hell? It doesn’t even, it doesn’t compute for me.”

Do you agree with Ric Flair? Was Logan Paul vs. Seth Rollins “mamby pamby” or do you disagree? Let us know using the ‘Get Involved’ feature at the top of the page!

Ric Flair

Ric Flair Blasts WWE For Breaking Tradition During WrestleMania 39

John Cena Ric Flair Charlotte Flair

When it comes to modern wrestling, Ric Flair is never shy about sharing his, often controversial, opinions.

In the fallout from WrestleMania 39, ‘The Nature Boy’ has done just that.

Speaking on his podcast, Ric Flair would blast the WWE for not allowing Charlotte Flair and Rhea Ripley to main event night one, despite Ripley being the 2023 Royal Rumble winner.

“We’re talking about what I think should personally happen in the promotion. There’s no way that Sami and KO and The Usos would go on after Ashley and Rhea, no way. Only in the WWE.

We’re talking about a single Championship from a girl that won the Royal Rumble. Why are we just breaking tradition just for one [night], for what? Why are we breaking tradition for one night?”

Do you agree with Ric Flair? Should Rhea Ripley vs. Charlotte Flair have main evented WrestleMania 39? Let us know using the ‘Get Involved’ feature at the top of the page!

Big E's WWE Plans If He Is Forced To Retire From In-Ring Action!

Big E WWE Champion

Big E is a beloved WWE fan favourite, however following an injury sustained on March 11th 2022 during an episode of SmackDown, the former World Champion has been off our screens for over a year.

Big E later announced that he fractured his C1 and C6 vertebrae, leading fans to speculate if he will ever make a full recovery or if his WWE career may be over.

The WWE Grand Slam Champion has now opened up on how he has been staying involved with the company whilst injured and what his long term WWE plans may be if he can never return in ring.

Speaking with PopCulture, Big E has revealed that he is currently involved with the company’s Next In Line programme, a recruitment system that is designed to find the stars of the future.

“Being able to go to these college campuses and talk to athletes and let them know about WWE and the opportunities here … really resonates [with me],” he said. “Because I remember being 23 years old [and] a ‘failed’ football player at Iowa dealing with a bunch of injuries and then trying to figure out [my] entire life. I really love being involved in that way and I’m sure there will be other ways as well that I can be involved while I’m not in the ring.” [H/t to Wrestling Inc.]

Raw

WWE Satisfied With Fan Outrage Following The Raw After WrestleMania 39!

The Raw after WrestleMania 39 left a sour taste in the mouth of many WWE fans across the world.

Brock Lesnar attacks Cody Rhodes on WWE Raw

The show felt like a ‘step backwards’ for many fans and has even been ranked the worst episode of Raw ever.

According to a new report from Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, WWE “got the reaction they wanted” from the show and are not concerned by the high volume of social media backlash following the show.

“I promise you, the fact there has been so much discussion they will only see as a positive. If there was no discussion, they’d be shaking their heads thinking what went wrong. If it was a misfire, history will tell us, but right now the reaction is what they wanted,”

What did you think of this weeks episode of Raw, was it as bad as social media is making out or do you think it is an overreaction by fans? Let us know using the ‘Get Involved’ feature at the top of the page.

Saraya Was Asked To Fire Shot At Vince McMahon During AEW Promo

Saraya makes entrance at AEW Full Gear 2022

Saraya made her AEW debut at Dynamite Gland Slam on September 21st, 2022 when she made a shock appearance to help Toni Storm.

The former Paige has now revealed that she already has a regret from her time in AEW and that is firing a shot at WWE management in her very first AEW promo.

Speaking on Busted Open Radio, she reiterated how nervous she was during that first promo, commenting that she even questioned her decision to come back.

“The one thing I do wish I didn’t say, I got asked to say a certain sentence, the sentence where I was like, ‘Finally, a boss that listens to me’ I wish I didn’t take that low hanging fruit.

I’ve always spoke highly of WWE because they helped me a lot. I love AEW. There is no reason to take that low hanging fruit and I feel that caused a lot of tribalism and negative reaction.”

Sting To Retire At AEW All In?

Tony Khan Sting

Fans around the world are asking on question this morning, “how on earth will AEW fill a 90,000 seater stadium.”

Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio, has speculated that the retirement of ‘The Icon’ Sting could be the secret to AEW’s success in London.

Meltzer notes that the success of Keiji Muto’s retirement tour may influence AEW decision to build hype for the London event around Sting’s final match.

“To run a stadium this large they have to do the most loaded show they’ve ever done. I’m talking about – if it’s possible Sting’s retirement should be the key to this thing. I think maybe the success of Keiji Mutoh’s retirement show may have been a template for this.”
