Adam Cole

Adam Cole & Britt Baker get their revenge

During the final commercial break, Saraya remained in control of Britt following Chris’ interference. She uses a vertical suplex, a chin lock, and some forearms to the back to keep Britt grounded. Jericho even runs into the match just to taunt the audience and Cole/Britt. We come back to fullscreen with Saraya calling out The Outcasts, who beat down Britt as Jericho distracts the referee. Hikaru Shida is here! She brings out the kendo sticks and beats down The Outcasts until they run back out.

Jericho gets back in the ring and yells in the face of Britt until she slaps him and tags in her partner, Cole. Cole and Jericho go out it, with Cole taking control and even raining down hammer fists like he did at Double or Nothing. Jericho with a lionsault out of nowhere! He tags in Saraya and the two women go at it. Britt with a boot to Saraya. Still, Saraya regains control and tries to superplex Britt off of the top rope. Baker shoves her down, but Jericho tries to protect Saraya by covering her body. Britt didn’t care! She just splashes both and then gets a close two count on Saraya.

Cole is tagged in and uses the backstabber on Adam Cole. Cole tries for the Panama Sunrise, but Jericho reverses it into the Walls of Jericho. Saraya knocks Britt off the apron to avoid a tag. Cole struggles to make it to the ropes! He is trapped for what feels like minutes until Britt makes the save. She puts on her special glove and secures the lockjaw on Jericho. He releases Cole and she applies it with even more force! Saraya breaks it up to save her partner.

Cole tunes up the band but his sweet chin music is stopped with a codebreaker from Jericho. A close two count follows! The two men trade forearms and chops before nailing one another with a double clothesline. They make it to their corners and tag in the women. They exchange a flurry of elbow strikes. Britt’s swinging neckbreaker is broken up, allowing Saraya to hit her finishing DDT. Jericho swings a bat at Britt but eats a superkick by Cole instead!

Jericho eats a double superkick by the power couple and then tags in Cole. Adam uses the final boom for the win! Adam Cole and Britt Baker win this one! Cole and Britt celebrate together as the show wraps up.

Chris gets Cole into the corner and uses a running clothesline to send him down to one knee. Cole with some forearms and a chop, but Jericho comes back with several chops of his own. Cole uses a blatant scratch to the eyes to his rival.

Chris gives him a poke to the eyes back! He throws Cole outside of the ring and Irish whips him into the ringside barricade. Back inside the ring, Jericho with a chop but then he eats a running clothesline. The women tag in for the first time! Britt with hard forearms right away, then hitting a sling blade. Britt nails the Air Raid Crash, but when she goes to follow up, Saraya distracts the referee and Chris trips Britt.

She dodges a big splash and starts using some lariats and a kick to the head. Statlander uses a corner splash and a running knee, followed by a blue thunder bomb for a close two-count!

Statlander goes to the top rope but Nyla gets over to her and pulls her legs out from under. She splashes into Kris in the corner, but as she goes for the cannonball, Kris pivots to the outside. Nyla changes direction and hits her with it on the floor. She then sets Kris up against the barricade and uses another cannonball! Nyla spikes Kris into the mat with a chokeslam and gets another two count.

Statlander suddenly reverses Nyla with a lawbreaker and follows it up with the 450 Splash for the win! Kris WINS! Backstage, Taya Valkyrie watches on and looks irritated that Kris pulled out the win.

She knows she’s earned this. Ruby Soho talks her up, and then Saraya does the same. Toni explains that she’ll be a fighting champion like a touring champion should be. The lucky ones are the AEW fans because they get to see The Outcasts every week.

Our TBS Title match is next!

Tony Schiavone

Tony Schiavone interviews Hook

Tony Schiavone is back in the ring and he thanks the crowd for joining them tonight. Suddenly, Hook’s music hits and the FTW Champion is walking down to the ring. Tony asks what is next for Hook. Before he can talk, La Faccion Inogernable comes out of the back and says the only way they’ll get TV time is to interrupt Hook. He compains that they get no opportunities, so they’re going to take it! Dralisitico and Preston Vance attack Hook until Jungle Boy comes down with a chair and takes everyone out.

Jose the Assistant runs to the ring, but he’s met with a front headlock suplex to toss him out. Hook and Jungle Boy bump fists as the segment ends.

MJF thinks proper challengers for the AEW World Title are running out

We see a promo with MJF, who says that proper challengers for his AEW World Title are running out now. It was made abundantly clear in Sin City that nobody is “on the level of the devil.”

Sting

Sting makes his surprise return to help Darby Allin and OC

Gates of Agony remained in control basically the entire picture in picture break. As we return to the show, Kaun hits a backbreaker on the turnbuckle on Allin. Liona follows up with a senton splash on the apron to Darby, followed by a uranage for a close two count. Kaun is tagged back in, but Darby’s attempt to rally is ineffective. Finally, he gets some offense and shoves Gates of Agony into one another. OC gets the tag!

He goes to his pockets and uses the signature dropkick on Liona. He kips up and uses a tornado DDT on Kaun for another close two. The crowd chants “Freshly Squeezed” as he attempts an Orange Punch. It’s avoided, and Liona and Kaun sandwich him with clotheslines for yet another two. Gates of Agony try for a double chokeslam, but OC with a double hurricanrana. Callis’ heat is insane right now! He tells the crowd that he hopes the boos are for Kenny Omega before being drowned out by the boos. He’s got Dominik Mysterio heat right now, y’all!

Callis says the IWGP Title was Kenny’s because of him, the AEW Title was because of him. He chose his friends, and it’s Kenny’s fault this all happened. He may have lost a nephew now, but he has gained a son. Omega says Konosukle Takeshita is the best athlete he’s ever seen in wrestling. Callis thinks he’s better than all of the greatest Japanese legends, including Okada, and Kenny Omega, too! Takeshita yells a promo in Japanese as the crowd continues with the deafening boos. “We will destroy The Elite! We will destroy Kenny Omega!” Takeshita yells in English.

Paquette tells them the floor is theirs, so Billy Gunn grabs the mic and says that things didn’t go their way last week, but that can happen at anytime. Daddy Ass is most disappointed that he let his partners down. Caster says that it will be okay because they are The Acclaimed and they are the people’s choice. Bowens knows they were screwed out of tag team gold before and they want some hardware back. More importantly, they want Billy Gunn to hold a title one more time!

A Daddy Ass chant breaks out. Bowens tells him it’s all good because they love him and everyone loves The Acclaimed. They pose for the audience as we see a rundown of what’s left for AEW Dynamite tonight.

He moves to Swerve and slams his face into the ring apron before also hitting some chops. We return to fullscreen as Trent and Swerve battle on the ring apron for control. Bill comes out of nowhere, and boots Swerve off of the apron.

Trent takes advantage and uses a splash into Bill to knock him over the top ropes, too. Trent uses a diving moonsault to take out Bill, but Swerve is here now and wants the Swerve Stomp on Trent. Bill stops him with a chop while perched on the top rope. Trent joins the party on the top rope, and as Bill wants a double chokeslam, he’s thwarted. It turns into a triple superplex! That was amazing!!

Bullet Club Gold is interviewed

Tony Schiavone stands in the middle of the ring, introducing Jay White and Juice Robinson of Bullet Club Gold. Tony asks them about Ricky Starks and why they attacked him at Double or Nothing. White says that we can all agree that DoN was an amazing night. And after Ricky Starsk eliminated Bullet Club Gold from the battle royale, he’s probably on top of the world.

But White emphasizes that Starks still lost that battle royale, just like he lost to him before. Juice wants to know why FTR interfered and helped Mr. Ricky Starks. Juice says they can’t be friends because Starks doesn’t have any friends! White says that since FTR are a couple of Southern boys, they probably are pretty dumb. But how are they dumb enough to get involved in Bullet Club Gold’s business.

Here comes FTR! White puts Tony Schiavone in front of them. Juice says they’re keeping it civil tonight, and FTR must be there to apologize and say sorry. White agrees, and brings up the idea of FTR joining Bullet Club Gold! White says all they have to do is ask, but make sure they do it politely. Out of nowhere, Juice punches Dax in the face! Cash attacks him but gets taken out by both men. Blade Runner from Jay and a Pulp Friction from Juice! Ricky Starks runs down to the ring and chases Bullet Club off. He challenges Jay White to a match next Wednesday on Dynamite!

Adam Page

The Elite is still standing after Anarchy in the Arena

Bryan Danielson walks down from the commentary table and congratulates Wheeler Yuta. The BCC celebrates inside the ring as we transition to the back.

We are backstage with The Elite, and Matt Jackson says that after this past Sunday, he thinks The BCC brings the worst in then. Even to the point where he was trying to melt a man’s face off with an exploding superkick. Hangman Page says they are still standing and still swinging, and they’re not finished yet.

Dark Uno and The Dark Order show up, acting jealous that Hangman has gone back to The Elite. Hangman goes off to talk to them, but first, he says Kenny Omega is out of the country but he’s not in Canada right now.

Claudio Castagnoli

BCC looking strong with another win

During the commercial break, the trio of luchadors struggle to get back into the match as BCC dominates. Mox traps Bandido with a straight jacket hold and then several clotheslines in the corner of the ring. Bandido with a kick to Mox and a corkscrew splash out of nowhere to ground Mox. Fenix and Claudio are tagged in! Claudio with a few elbows, but Rey does a fake-out on the ropes and delivers a superkick.

Penta with a DDT on Mox and then eats a clothesline to take him down. Bandido wants the tag! Yuta and Bandido enter, trading elbows back and forth until Wheeler bites him in the head! Bandido claps back with a dropkick and a press cutter!

He climbs to the top rope and hits a top rope splash as The Lucha Bros take out the rest of BCC with swanton bombs on the outside. It’s only a two! BCC starts interfering from the outside, taking Lucha Bros out of the match. Yuta hits Bryan Danielson’s running knee, the elbows raining down to the head, and the pin for the victory on Bandido. BCC stands tall!!

Jon Moxley

Blackpool Combat Club vs. Lucha Bros & Bandido

Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, and Wheeler Yuta enter first, followed by Bandido, Penta El Zero M, and Rey Fenix. Bryan Danielson is on commentary for this one, too! BCC immediately takes the advantage and beats down their three opponents, but the luchadores respond with superkicks. They attempt synced dive attacks to the outside, but BCC cuts them off and starts beating all 3 men down outside.

Yuta tosses Bandido into the guard rails all over. Meanwhile, Claudio beats down Fenix in the audience and Penta/Mox go at it. We head into the ring with Bandido and Yuta; Yuta with a scoop slam and a senton splash for a two count. Bandido with a delayed vertical suplex while The Lucha Bros hold down Mox and Claudio with submission holds. He holds Yuta for a FULL 60 SECONDS in the air! The Lucha Bros tag in and use a superkick and tight rope kick on Yuta. The rest of BCC comes in and they all collide until Penta uses the backstabber on Claudio.

The crowd rallies as Bandido is tagged in the match. He misses a diving cross body at the last moment, which inspires BCC to pull Bandido out of the ring and uses a spike piledriver on the floor.

AEW

AEW Dynamite starts right now!!!

Here we go!! The entrance theme plays, the pyro goes off, and Excalibur welcomes us to a new episode of AEW Dynamite!

First out tonight is Blackpool Combat Club!

SmackDown

The week ahead: What's in store for Friday's WWE SmackDown

Before we dive fully into a new episode of AEW Dynamite, let’s check out what is coming up later this week on a new episode of SmackDown. Roman Reigns is the prettiest belle at the ball this Friday when he is honored for 1,000 days as Universal Champion! However, the accomplishment comes at a time when The Bloodline is falling apart. What will happen between The Usos and The Tribal Chief after Jimmy Uso attacked Reigns this past Saturday at Night of Champions?

You can see the card for the 6/2 WWE SmackDown below:

  • Money in the Bank Qualifying Match: Montez Ford vs. LA Knight
  • Roman Reigns celebrates 1,000 Days as Universal Champion

Undertaker

The Undertaker considering a return to the ring?

The Undertaker is one of pro wrestling’s most recognizable superstars, perhaps best known for achieving an unprecedented 21 – 1 win/loss streak at WrestleMania. And though Undertaker retired back in 2020 with his “Last Ride” match, “The Phenom” can’t deny that he feels some type of why when he attends live WWE shows.

“I’ve got to the point now where if I’m home, I’m fine. It’s when I do show up at a WWE event I get that ‘I should be getting ready’ feeling”

That’s especially relevant for WrestleMania. The event where Undertaker stamped a large portion of his legacy was one of the most difficult for him to attend this year because it made him want to jump in the ring, himself.

“At WrestleMania 39, I was there and I had my family and friends up in a suite watching the show and I kind of found myself rocking in my chair like, ‘oh, my gosh, I should be down there’. So in those instances, it’s there. It’s still in my heart and it’s in my brain.” (h/t The Independent).”

Billy Gunn

The Acclaimed are still focused on capturing AEW Gold

The Acclaimed’s Max Caster, Anthony Bowens, and Daddy Ass were surprise challengers for The House of Black’s AEW Trios Championships this past Sunday at Double or Nothing in a House Rules match. Though they were unsuccessful on the occasion, The Acclaimed is overcoming that loss and wants to realign their focus on capturing AEW gold in some way going forward.

The Acclaimed and Daddy Ass, we still have one goal in mind and that is to get gold back around our waists. We were screwed out of gold and Daddy Ass deserves to wear gold around his waist one more time and we will not stop until we get that back. And that starts this week on Dynamite because we are going to re-group, we’re going to learn from our mistakes, and we’re going to continue showing everybody why everyone loves The Acclaimed.”

Ted DiBiase

Ted DiBiase reveals he's suffering from brain trauma

It’s difficult to anticipate what kind of long-term effects pro wrestlers will take on after dedicating portions of their lives competing inside the squared circle. For some, the consequences manifest mentally, which is what’s happening with WWE Hall of Famer Ted DiBiase.

“The Million Dollar Man” opened up in a recent interview about how he’s dealing with “severe brain trauma” as he grows older.

“I don’t have Alzheimer’s and I don’t have dementia. But they said, ‘Ted, you have something — we just simply call it severe brain trauma.’ … I only wrestled maybe almost 20 years, so I’m not surprised I might have a little brain trauma. What it affects is my memory, and they say it’d be easier for [me] to remember something [I] did 40 or 50 years ago, but the short-term memory — some of the stuff like now — it’s bits and pieces.”

Carmella

Carmella and Corey Graves announce the sex of their baby

Congratulations to WWE superstar Carmella and Raw commentator Corey Graves, who appeared on the Tamron Hall Show this past Wednesday and revealed that they’re having a baby boy! They told Hall they both wanted this to be the result, especially Graves, who says girls in their house outnumber him.

Carmella is due in November. She first revealed the news on May 1, and since then, other stars in the world of pro wrestling have announced pregnancies, like Alexa Bliss and Tay Melo.

Seth Rollins

Seth Rollins gives his take on why WWE needed a new World Title

This past Saturday at WWE Night of Champions, Seth Rollins successfully defeated AJ Styles in the World Heavyweight Championship Tournament finals to be the first man to hold the new rendition of the belt. Now that he wears it with pride, Rollins is making regular media appearances like the one he made on The Bump earlier today.

During the interview, Rollins described why he believes a new World Title needed to be introduced into the fold of WWE.

There was a need for a title on Monday nights. There was a need for a new title because everybody is so good: myself, AJ Styles — all the SmackDown guys, really — Sheamus, Drew McIntyre, Gunther. You look at Raw: you got Cody Rhodes, you’ve got Kevin [Owens], you’ve got Sami [Zayn]. I mean, there’s just tons of guys, tons of competition at the top and we needed a prize to fight for since our Universal Champion, you know, he wants to keep his part-time schedule.

Sunny

Wrestling veteran thinks Tammy "Sunny" Sytch is being dealt bad karma

Tammy “Sunny” Sytch was a fan-favorite during WWE’s Attitude Era, but poor decisions later in life have tarnished the legacy she built for herself. She’s been arrested several times, with the most recent being for the death of a 75-year-old man due to crashing into his car. Officers believed that Sytch was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident.

Barry Horowitz, a wrestling veteran who knew Sytch from her relationship with his good friend, Chris Candido, was recently interviewed about Sunny. To him, she was simply in the right place at the right time when she was signed to WWE. And because of her poor choices, he thinks she’s getting what she deserves by being incarcerated.

“She was just getting going, 23 years old. There’s girls right there now that are her age in the mall in Florida walking around that smoke her alive. The biggest thing was right time, right place. All you had to do was keep that mouth shut, drama free, you should be retired like Trish Stratus, Stacy Keibler, living off your royalties. Instead, you’re in a jail cell looking bad. Poor Chris had to deal with that, so maybe karma is biting her in the ass. What goes around comes around, especially in the wrestling business.”

AEW

What awaits us on the 5/31 AEW Dynamite

One match that’s bound to be outstanding based on who is involved is Lucha Bros & Bandido vs. Blackpool Combat Club (Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, & Wheeler Yuta), but even beyond the action, we’ll see certain storylines continue, like what is going down between Konosuke Takeshita w/ Don Callis and Kenny Omega.

  • Chris Jericho & Ruby Soho vs. Adam Cole & Britt Baker
  • Konosuke Takeshita and Don Callis will speak for the first time since attacking Kenny Omega at Double Or Nothing
  • AEW President Tony Khan will make an announcement on the premiere episode of AEW Collision

AEW

Good evening!

Welcome back, folks! We’re celebrating this hump day with another edition of AEW Dynamite, and the card has developed more and more throughout the day. We now know that the new TBS Champion Kris Statlander, who became the first woman to ever defeat Jade Cargill in their surprise match at Double or Nothing, will be defending her belt for the first time against Nyla Rose. We will also hear from Don Callis and Konosuke Takeshita after they screwed Kenny Omega and The Elite out of the victory at Anarchy in the Arena.

Elsewhere in the news, it was revealed that former NXT Champion Tomasso Ciampa is believed to be coming back to the ring in the coming weeks. He was seen backstage at this past Monday’s Raw, supporting the theory that he’ll return soon.
