Liv Morgan’s Updated WWE Return Date Could Immediately Land Her In Title-Winning Position

Liv Morgan celebrates backstage with Raquel Rodriguez at WWE WrestleMania 41

Liv Morgan will be returning to a much different scene when she finally makes her next comeback from injury. The RAW Superstar was a featured act at the time of this most recent setback, with even bigger plans in the works. New information on Liv’s WWE future indicates she may be returning the same way she went out: with a massive push.

The Miracle Kid was one-half of the first-ever four-time WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions when she suffered a separated shoulder while wrestling Kairi Sane during RAW on June 16. The early word was that the 31-year-old could be out for around 16 weeks, depending on the severity, which would’ve been in early October, potentially put her back in action between the Clash In Paris and Crown Jewel PLEs.

Morgan was beginning a new feud with Nikki Bella, and was set to be featured at Evolution II and SummerSlam, but her injury forced significant creative changes. Her on-screen relationship with Dominik Mysterio has been the subject of rumors and speculation, as has her status as a member of The Judgment Day due to Roxanne Perez taking on a more prominent role. However, Liv and the WWE Intercontinental Champion recently dismissed any concern.

SummerSlam Saturday saw Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair dethrone Perez and Raquel Rodriguez of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship. Two days later on RAW, Finn Balor revealed that his stablemate was doing rehab and getting stronger every day, adding that she will be back in around 6-8 months.

If correct, Balor’s announcement on Liv Morgan’s return would put her back in action some time between the first week of February and the first week of April. This would mean she misses out on the inaugural Royal Rumble from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, but returns in time for WrestleMania 42 on April 18-19 in Las Vegas. However, sources have revealed a new backstage update on Liv’s WWE future, one that will go over well with her followers.

Liv Morgan Hopeful For The WWE Royal Rumble

Liv Morgan underwent shoulder surgery in Birmingham, Alabama at the end of June, and has been on the road to recovery ever since. A new report from PWInsider notes that Morgan was scheduled for a medical evaluation this week, and some expected her to be at RAW for this follow-up, but she was not there.

WWE officials are optimistic that the evaluation will come with a positive update on Morgan’s progress. The internal hope is that the inaugural Women’s Crown Jewel Champion will be medically cleared to return to the ring in early 2026, as long as everything goes as planned.

Liv Morgan has worked 8 Royal Rumble matches since 2018, but still has not won the match to secure a title shot on The Grandest Stage of Them All. While the actual date in January 2026 for the Royal Rumble from Saudi Arabia has not been confirmed, there’s now talk that Liv would be the perfect surprise entrant, perhaps for a victory that will send her to WrestleMania 42.
