Liv Morgan Flaunts Big Win Amid WWE Hiatus For Injury Recovery

Liv Morgan

Liv Morgan has been out of action since June 16, 2025, due to a shoulder injury.

Morgan shared a proud moment with fans, posting a photo of her Female Superstar of the Year Slammy Award, which she won at the 2025 Slammy Awards ceremony on April 19, 2025.

She posted it without a caption, implying the sadness and emptiness in her life due to being out of action. Morgan was one of the leading female stars before she was ruled out. She is a two-time world champion and four-time tag team champion with Raquel Rodriguez, and held the title, which she won on RAW after WrestleMania, before getting injured.

Instead of stripping Rodriguez of the title, the creatives decided to let The Judgment Day keep the titles, with Morgan getting replaced by Roxanne Perez. This change was orchestrated by the stable and was officially confirmed on the June 30 episode of RAW.

Morgan took a one-month break in May 2025 to feature in Takashi Miike’s film Bad Lieutenant: Tokyo. Shun Oguri and Lily James star alongside Morgan in the sequel to the 1992 film Bad Lieutenant.

Liv Morgan’s Injury and Road to Recovery

On June 16, 2025, Morgan suffered a legitimate shoulder dislocation during a match against Kairi Sane on WWE RAW. This forced officials to stop the bout immediately as she landed awkwardly and clutched her right shoulder in pain.

She was later confirmed to have undergone surgery performed by Dr. Jeff Dugas at Andrews Sports Medicine in Birmingham, Alabama, followed by intensive rehabilitation under physical therapist Dr. Kevin Wilk. WWE commentators noted during the live show that she would be sidelined for “several months” as she heals.

Despite the setback, sources within WWE are optimistic that Morgan’s rehab is on track. She has been undergoing regular medical evaluations, and if all goes well, she is aiming for an early 2026 return, possibly coinciding with the Royal Rumble or the start of ‘Road to WrestleMania.’ Until then, Morgan continues to share updates on her progress, keeping fans engaged and eager for her comeback.
