Liv Morgan Reacts To Ruby Riott Being Released By WWE

Liv Morgan has taken to social media to comment on the WWE release of her friend and tag team partner Ruby Riott.

Riott was released by WWE alongside Braun Strowman, Aleister Black, Santana Garrett, Lana, and Buddy Murphy. The releases have come as a shock to many fans as WWE have already released numerous Superstars in recent weeks and months.

Ruby Riott, Liv Morgan and Sarah Logan debuted as The Riott Squad in November 2017 attacking Becky Lynch and Naomi. The trio remained together until the Superstar Shakeup in 2019 with Logan, real name Sarah Rowe, leaving the company a year later. Riott and Morgan later reunited.

The pair were most recently in action on the May 28th episode of SmackDown where they were defeated by Women’s Tag Team Champions, Natalya and Tamina.

Reacting to the news of the release of her partner, Morgan wrote that wherever Riott ends up they’ll be lucky to have her.

“Whoever is lucky enough to get Heidi Lovelace on their roster, you win”

After the news of his own release broke, Aleister Black released a statement addressing the situation. Black said that the news had come from “left field” before thanking the WWE fans.

Meanwhile, reports have also begun to shed some light on the release of Braun Strowman. The “Monster Among Men” has been prominently featured in recent months, even challenging for the WWE Title just a matter of weeks ago.

However, a report by Fightful Select has revealed that Strowman’s hefty contract may have played a role in his departure. The report notes that Strowman was earning more than $1 million per year. Importantly, this deal was set to run until well into 2023.

Inside The Ropes will update the story as it develops.
