The WWE Universe is still reeling over the recent injury to Liv Morgan. The post-RAW follow-ups have been concerning so far, but now there’s a positive update along with more unfortunate news.
The Miracle Kid currently holds the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship with Raquel Rodriguez, and she recently began a feud with Nikki Bella. Morgan began Monday’s RAW in a segment that ended with Women’s World Champion IYO SKY taking she and Dominik Mysterio out, then Rhea Ripley ruined her big red brand plans. Later on, Morgan faced Kairi Sane but suffered a dislocated shoulder early on.
Morgan surprised fans with a risqué photo to accompany her first post-injury comments. Previous reports had the 31-year-old potentially returning at around 16 weeks, depending on the severity, which would put her back around Monday, October 6.
In what was described as a sign of good news, WrestleVotes reports that the backstage reaction to Morgan’s injury from the Gorilla Position was a lot more reserved and calm than it was on May 19 when Zoey Stark suffered a knee injury on RAW.
Liv Morgan Potentially Missing Major WWE Events
Liv Morgan could end up being on the shelf for around three months, according to WrestleVotes’ speculation on Sportskeeda’s WrestleBinge. This would would put her back in action some time around Monday, September 15. With that said, it was noted that talk making the rounds is that Liv will be out for “roughly around 12 weeks,” which is somewhat in line with the aforementioned speculation, putting her back around Monday, September 8.
WWE will present Night of Champions on June 28 in Saudi Arabia, and Morgan is set to miss that event. Saturday Night’s Main Event XL is planned for July 12, and the big all-women’s PLE Evolution II is scheduled for that same weekend on July 13. The entire women’s division is hoping to secure spots on the Evolution II card, and Liv is expected to miss the show after teaming with the rest of The Riott Squad for a loss to Natalya, Bayley, and Sasha Banks at the inaugural event in 2018.
Morgan could also miss WWE’s inaugural two-night SummerSlam on August 2 and 3, and the return to France for Clash In Paris on August 31. However, the Judgment Day member could be back in time for Crown Jewel on October 11 in Australia, and will likely be good to go for Survivor Series on November 29, which is the last 2025 PLE on the schedule as of this writing.
Morgan could always return earlier than expected, and complications can keep her on the shelf longer, but people are optimistic that she will be back in action as soon as possible. It was noted that a dislocated shoulder takes time to heal.
